Faculty of Foreign Languages

The Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​offers undergraduate programs in the field of languages, serving a student body of over 3,000. Currently, the Faculty comprises approximately 52 lecturers and oversees seven specialized departments, boasting a team of highly qualified, experienced, and dedicated educators. Grounded in an approach that aligns with international integration and the practical demands of the labor market, the Faculty focuses on developing students’ foreign language proficiency and professional skills, thereby supplying high-quality human resources to sectors such as aviation, tourism, services, logistics, business, and various other socio-economic fields.

The Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​prioritizes the development of scientific research as a foundation for enhancing professional and academic quality. Research activities are diverse in scope, focusing on language, foreign language teaching and learning, intercultural communication, and practical linguistic issues. The Faculty also facilitates the participation of lecturers and students in research projects, publications, conferences, and academic forums—both domestically and internationally. Through these research endeavors, the Faculty is progressively building a dynamic academic environment, integrating the latest knowledge into instruction, and strengthening connections with educational institutions, organizations, and international partners.

The English Language training program—specializing in Aviation English—at the Vietnam Aerospace University aims to develop a workforce proficient in professional English while possessing a solid understanding of aviation-specific terminology and operational practices. In addition to comprehensively developing English listening, speaking, reading, writing, and communication skills, the program focuses on equipping students with knowledge regarding terminology, communication protocols, and specific usage scenarios within aviation, airport, and aviation service environments. Students hone their professional communication, translation and interpretation, and intercultural communication skills, while also learning to handle various situations and apply English in operational activities, passenger services, and aviation-related services. Through a training environment closely linked to the aviation industry, students gain exposure to real-world professional practices and participate in experiential activities, internships, and academic exchanges, thereby enhancing their adaptability to international work environments. Upon graduation, students are qualified to pursue roles involving language and services at airlines, airports, aviation service companies, logistics firms, tourism and hospitality businesses, international enterprises, and other organizations requiring professional English proficiency.

The English Language training program—specializing in Business and Tourism English—at the Vietnam Aerospace University aims to develop a workforce proficient in using English within international business, service, and tourism environments. Beyond comprehensively strengthening language skills, the program integrates knowledge of commerce, business, tourism, services, and intercultural communication, enabling students to apply English effectively in real-world professional scenarios. Students hone their skills in professional communication, translation and interpretation, presentations, negotiation, customer care, problem-solving, and working in multicultural environments. The program also facilitates practical engagement through experiential activities, exchanges, internships, and industry connections, thereby enhancing students’ adaptability to both domestic and international labor markets. Upon graduation, students are qualified to assume professional roles in enterprises, economic organizations, travel and tourism companies, hotels, the aviation sector, service and international trade industries, and any entity engaged in business or cooperation with foreign partners.

The Korean Language program at the Vietnam Aerospace University aims to develop a workforce possessing professional Korean language proficiency, knowledge of Korean language and culture, and the adaptability to thrive in international work environments. The curriculum integrates applied language training with professional knowledge and skills relevant to aviation, logistics, tourism, services, business, and external relations. Students comprehensively develop their Korean language skills aligned with TOPIK standards while honing competencies in intercultural communication, translation and interpretation, office administration, negotiation, customer service, and the application of technology in translation and media. Benefiting from the aviation ecosystem, students gain access to corporate environments and practical experiences at aviation-related facilities and units, as well as opportunities for cultural exchange, academic collaboration, and partnership programs with Korean entities. Upon graduation, students are qualified for professional roles in Korean companies and FDI enterprises, airlines, airports, logistics, tourism and hospitality, education, media, translation and interpretation, and other service sectors requiring Korean language proficiency.

The Chinese Language program aims to develop professional-level proficiency in Chinese while equipping students with knowledge of the language, Chinese culture, and intercultural communication. The curriculum emphasizes listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, as well as the practical application of Chinese in translation and interpreting, teaching, communication, and international work environments. Students hone their ability to use the language in real-world situations and enhance their communication skills, critical thinking, teamwork capabilities, and adaptability to multicultural settings. Furthermore, the program broadens students’ understanding of China and international cooperation, particularly in sectors with high workforce demand such as aviation, foreign affairs, business, and international services. Upon graduation, students are qualified to assume professional roles in translation and interpreting, Chinese language teaching, foreign affairs, business, and services within enterprises, educational institutions, and organizations engaged in international cooperation.
