TRAINING OBJECTIVES
The training program for the Transportation Economics major, developed by the Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA), aims to equip students with knowledge ranging from fundamental to specialized aspects of the Transportation Economics field. Students can choose one of three specializations to study: Aviation Economics, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or Logistics and Multimodal Transportation. These specializations contribute to training students to become professionals capable of working independently, solving problems, and handling situations effectively in the transportation business field. They are also prepared to become competent and qualified leaders when engaging in professional management roles.
- Knowledge of efficient operational systems within the aviation industry.
- Management knowledge for airlines and airport operators.
- Insights into passenger data analysis, operational systems, ground services, and profitability strategies for airports.
- Knowledge of aviation activities, including aircraft financial leasing and purchasing, aircraft maintenance, and passenger and cargo transportation business via air.
- Knowledge of transportation policies and aviation law.
- Corporate management knowledge, including marketing, finance, and business operations.
Specialization in Logistics and Multimodal Transportation:

- Knowledge of ground services management, transportation, and freight forwarding in the aviation sector.
- Knowledge of import-export processes, international payment, and cargo insurance.
- Knowledge of global supply chain management, procurement channels, distribution channels, and multimodal transportation.
- Knowledge of cargo transportation via maritime, rail, road, and inland waterways.
- Insights into port operations (sea and air), warehouse management, e-commerce, and marketing within the logistics sector.
Information technology proficiency aligns with the Basic IT Skills Standards as outlined in Circular 03/2014/TT-BTTTT, dated March 11, 2014, by the Minister of Information and Communications.
