TRAINING OBJECTIVES
The Bachelor's Degree Program in Transport Economics at the Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA) is designed to educate students with strong political qualities, ethical standards, and good health, while providing them with knowledge of economics, politics, and socio-cultural issues. Students are equipped with specialized knowledge and professional skills in Air Transport Economics, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, as well as Logistics and Multimodal Transport. This enables them to effectively perform and address tasks related to these fields. In addition, graduates are capable of working independently or collaboratively in teams with a strong sense of responsibility throughout their professional activities. They are also prepared to think and work as global citizens, particularly in the era of digital transformation, and to confidently perform in multicultural environments, demonstrating the adaptability and competence required to undertake various roles in the fields of Air Transport Economics, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Multimodal Transport within an internationally integrated context.
Specific Objectives
+ Knowledge
Provide students with knowledge of Political Theory, Social Sciences and Humanities, an understanding of Vietnamese law, and knowledge of national defense and security. Students are also equipped with knowledge and the ability to continuously develop their physical fitness.
Equip students with foundational knowledge in economics and management to support the acquisition of specialized disciplinary knowledge.
Provide advanced knowledge in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Multimodal Transport, and Air Transport Economics. Specifically:
+ Logistics and Supply Chain Management Specialization: Students are capable of developing models and applying the principles of the discipline in practical contexts. They are also able to provide professional consultation and effectively organize and implement the responsibilities of a bachelor's degree graduate in the field of Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
+ Logistics and Multimodal Transport Specialization: Students are able to apply knowledge of logistics and multimodal transport to address practical business situations, while analyzing and evaluating transportation, storage, and distribution solutions to optimize logistics performance in both domestic and international business environments.
+ Air Transport Economics Specialization: Students are capable of analyzing supply and demand as well as the market structure of the air transport industry; developing airfare pricing strategies and optimizing revenue; evaluating the economic impact of the aviation industry on the national economy; managing aviation finance and business operations; and overseeing airport management and operations in the context of integration and development.
