The Final Round of the Genesis Competition – 2024 Creative Startup Ideas for Female Students Highlights the Achievements of the Faculty of Tourism and Aviation Services, Vietnam Aviation Academy

On the morning of November 19, 2024, 16 outstanding teams from universities across the country competed in the National Final Round of the Genesis Competition – 2024 Creative Startup Ideas for Female Students. The competition, organized under Project 939 – Supporting Women’s Entrepreneurship by the Vietnam Women’s Union, aims to encourage female students to engage in innovative entrepreneurial activities, promote gender equality, and foster the startup movement in the economic sector.

In the final round, the Faculty of Tourism and Aviation Services (FTAS) at the Vietnam Aviation Academy made a remarkable impression with two projects achieving high awards. The Green Lamp team, with their project “Artistic Decorative Lamps Made from Eggshells,” won Second Prize in the Business category. The project was carried out by students Nguyễn Thị Thanh Trúc (team leader), Cao Thanh Thảo, and Trần Thủy Tiên, under the dedicated mentorship of Mentor Nguyễn Anh Lợi, a lecturer at the Faculty of Tourism and Aviation Services. The project stood out for its unique creativity, sustainability, and high practical application potential.

In addition, the Saigon Gateway Tours team, with their idea “Electric Scooter City Tour,” won Third Prize in the Social category. This groundbreaking project focuses on promoting green and sustainable tourism and was carried out by students Tống Thị Thảo Nguyên (team leader), Nguyễn Phụng Tường Vân, Nguyễn Thiên Phương Mai, Nguyễn Thị Anh Thư, and Phạm Vĩ Khang, under the dedicated mentorship of Mentor Vũ Thị Thu Hương, also a lecturer at the Faculty of Tourism and Aviation Services.

Speaking at the event, Associate Professor Dr. Trần Quang Tiến, Head of the Organizing Committee, emphasized, “Genesis serves as a launchpad for innovative startup ideas, providing students with opportunities to realize their entrepreneurial dreams. I hope these projects will continue to grow with support from universities and the business community.”

The success of the teams from the Faculty of Tourism and Aviation Services not only highlights the talent and creativity of the students but also reflects the dedicated guidance and support from their lecturers. The Genesis 2024 competition has concluded, but these achievements will remain a driving force for fostering the spirit of creative entrepreneurship among students at the Vietnam Aviation Academy.
