VIETNAM AVIATION ACADEMY HAS SIGNED A COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH SAIGONTOURIST TRAVEL SERVICES COMPANY TO BRING PRACTICAL BENEFITS TO ITS STUDENTS

This afternoon, on June 5, 2023, the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the Vietnam Aviation Academy and Saigontourist Travel Services Company (a subsidiary of Saigontourist) took place at room A301. The aim of the partnership is to enhance the quality and development of high-quality human resources between the two parties.

The signing ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trần Hoài An – Chairman of the Academy’s Council; Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hải Hằng – Director of the Academy; Dr. Nguyễn Thanh Dũng – Deputy Director of the Academy; Dr. Nguyễn Thị Cẩm Lệ – Head of the Business Administration Department, along with leaders from various departments, lecturers, and students of the Academy. Representing Saigontourist was Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Yên – General Director, along with members of the company’s leadership team. Additionally, the ceremony was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thu Hương, Dr. Joanne Pyke, and Dr. Catherine Lou from Victoria University (Australia).

At the signing ceremony, Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hải Hằng stated: “For a long time, Vietnam Aviation Academy has considered Saigontourist an important partner in the school’s professional development direction.” The Director of the Academy also affirmed that the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Vietnam Aviation Academy and Saigontourist Travel marked the first step in the process of sustainable collaboration in many fields.

Representing Saigontourist, Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Yên also shared his thoughts on the close relationship between aviation and tourism. He expressed Saigontourist’s pleasure in having the opportunity to collaborate with the Vietnam Aviation Academy to develop high-quality human resources. He hoped this partnership would bring many benefits to the students, with Saigontourist offering opportunities for students to visit, intern, and gain practical experience, while the Vietnam Aviation Academy would provide qualified personnel for Saigontourist, as well as foster other mutually beneficial collaborations.

According to the cooperation agreement, Saigontourist will work with the Vietnam Aviation Academy in several areas, including: organizing site visits/internships/professional training programs, recruitment, career orientation and skills development programs, utilizing services, training cooperation, scientific research, scholarship funds, charitable funds, and promotional activities.

With this collaboration, starting from the 2023-2024 academic year, students of the Academy will have the opportunity to visit and intern at the Saigontourist system. The travel company will also contribute to the Academy’s scholarship fund and collaborate on scientific research projects. In addition, Saigontourist will send senior personnel to participate in teaching at the Academy, helping students understand the development trends in the tourism industry and engage in other activities.

As part of the signing ceremony, a specialized seminar on **”New Trends in Tourism”** was also held. During the seminar, valuable presentations were made on topics such as **the future of education for tourism and hospitality students**, **development trends in businesses and organizations within the industry**, and more. The seminar provided an opportunity for industry experts and students of the Academy to exchange ideas and discuss emerging trends in the tourism sector. This event helped both students and lecturers at the Academy gain a better understanding of the upcoming developments in the tourism industry.
