Travel Management

The Travel Management program at the Vietnam Aviation Academy spans four years, offering comprehensive knowledge in tourism management, tour operations, and tourism promotion. Students are equipped with language skills, technology proficiency, and critical thinking, preparing them for roles in travel management, tour guiding, and event organization. The program consists of 120 credits, expanding job opportunities in government tourism agencies and travel businesses.
General objective
The Bachelor’s program in Travel and Tourism Service Management, specializing in Travel Management, aims to develop graduates with strong political, ethical values, and good health.
Graduates are equipped with knowledge in economics, politics, and socio-cultural aspects, along with professional skills in managing and operating hotel, restaurant, and food service businesses. They possess the ability to flexibly apply knowledge in planning, analyzing, synthesizing, evaluating, and proposing effective solutions to address challenges in business operations.
They are capable of working independently or in teams, demonstrating high responsibility in their tasks. Confident in a multicultural environment, graduates are prepared to adapt and assume various roles in the tourism and travel service industry.
Career Opportunities After Graduation
Graduates can work in positions such as:
• Manager of domestic and international travel businesses
• Tour program operator
• Tour guide
• Staff at tourism information centers
• Tourism service product marketing and sales representative
• Event organizer, event coordinator, event communications specialist, airline ticketing agent, visa service officer, etc.
• Pursue postgraduate studies to become highly qualified experts in the tourism industry
• Teach tourism at educational institutions, universities, vocational colleges, and training centers within the national education system
• Work in government agencies related to tourism and travel, such as the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; Departments of Tourism; Departments of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; monument management boards, and centers for historical and cultural preservation and promotion.

Graduation Requirements
To be eligible for graduation, students must meet the conditions specified by the current credit-based Undergraduate Training Regulations of the Vietnam Aviation Academy:
• At the time of graduation consideration, students must not be under criminal investigation or facing disciplinary actions at the level of academic suspension.
• Students must complete all required courses specified in the undergraduate curriculum for their major, with no outstanding courses, and achieve a cumulative GPA of at least 2.00.
• Must possess a National Defense and Security Education Certificate.
• Must possess a Physical Education Certificate.
• Must have a Certificate of Participation in the Student Orientation Week.
Foreign Language Proficiency: Graduates from the Tourism and Travel Service Management program at the Vietnam Aviation Academy must meet the minimum language proficiency requirements specified for each major. For the Travel Management specialization, students must achieve at least Level 3 according to Circular No. 01/2014/TT-BGD&ĐT on the six-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam or a minimum TOEIC score of 500 or an equivalent international certificate recognized by the Academy.
Information Technology: Must possess a Basic Information Technology Application Certificate as specified in Circular No. 03/2014/TT-BTTTT dated March 11, 2014.
