Hotel and Restaurant Management Program
The Hotel and Restaurant Management program at the Vietnam Aviation Academy spans four years, offering extensive knowledge in hotel, restaurant, and food service management, along with professional management skills. Students are equipped with teamwork abilities, language proficiency, and modern technology, preparing them for management positions in the industry. The program includes 120 credits, expanding career opportunities in hotels, resorts, lodging facilities, and government tourism agencies.
General objective
The Bachelor’s program in Travel and Tourism Service Management, specializing in Travel Management, develops graduates with strong political, ethical values, and good health.
Graduates gain knowledge in economics, politics, and socio-cultural fields, as well as professional skills in managing and operating hotel, restaurant, and food service businesses. They are equipped to flexibly apply their knowledge in planning, analyzing, synthesizing, evaluating, and proposing effective solutions to address challenges in business operations.
Graduates are capable of working independently or as part of a team, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility in their work. They are confident in multicultural environments, ready to adapt, and prepared to take on diverse roles within the tourism and travel service industry.
Career Opportunities After Graduation
Graduates can work in positions such as:
Serve as staff in front office, housekeeping, and food service departments within tourism businesses, tourism accommodation systems, restaurant and food service chains within accommodations or resorts, event and conference centers, or on overnight transportation, aviation, and related services.
Work as managers in accommodation systems, restaurant and event chains, hotels, commercial operations in domestic and international lodging businesses, food services, companies, and event and conference centers.
Serve as staff and managers in government agencies overseeing tourism and travel, hotel and restaurant systems, and aviation services. Graduates can also pursue a master’s degree to work in education and research institutions, taking on roles as direct practitioners or as operators and managers in tourism, hotel, and restaurant fields.
PLO2: Analyze management trends, business operations, technology, market demands, and organizational resources by applying concepts, theories, models, and approaches in tourism, hospitality, and food service industries.
PLO3: Evaluate the impact of environmental factors, diversity, and globalization on organizations and decision-making in tourism, hospitality, and food service fields. Assess the significance of these influences on organizations and business decisions.
PLO4: Design strategies, plans, and operations for hotel, restaurant, and food service management that bring benefits to customers, communities, and society.

PLO7: Integrate advanced skills, techniques, and technology into managing and operating sectors within tourism, hospitality, and food services.

Graduation Requirements
To be eligible for graduation, students must meet the conditions specified by the current credit-based Undergraduate Training Regulations of the Vietnam Aviation Academy:
• At the time of graduation consideration, students must not be under criminal investigation or facing disciplinary actions at the level of academic suspension.
• Students must complete all required courses specified in the undergraduate curriculum for their major, with no outstanding courses, and achieve a cumulative GPA of at least 2.00.
• Must possess a National Defense and Security Education Certificate.
• Must possess a Physical Education Certificate.
• Must have a Certificate of Participation in the Student Orientation Week.
Foreign Language Proficiency: Graduates from the Tourism and Travel Service Management program at the Vietnam Aviation Academy must meet the minimum language proficiency requirements specified for each major. For the Travel Management specialization, students must achieve at least Level 3 according to Circular No. 01/2014/TT-BGD&ĐT on the six-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam or a minimum TOEIC score of 500 or an equivalent international certificate recognized by the Academy.
Information Technology: Must possess a Basic Information Technology Application Certificate as specified in Circular No. 03/2014/TT-BTTTT dated March 11, 2014.
