General Goals
- Aiming to equip students with comprehensive, basic and modern knowledge to ensure that after graduation they are able to successfully complete the tasks of engineers operating in the field of Air Traffic Management while adapting to the technical and technological development of the industry.
- After graduation, students can work in enterprises in the aviation industry and in other technical economics. Good students can do teaching and research work in schools or research institutes.
Specific Goals
- Having good political, moral and health qualities, mastering basic socio-economic knowledge, capable of collecting information, analyzing, evaluating, making recommendations and solving problems in the field of Air Traffic Management, directly go deeper into the field of management organization, flight operator.
- Ability to synthesize professional knowledge in Air Traffic Management, master specialized knowledge such as: flight rules, Air Traffic Services, information, navigation, surveillance systems for Air Traffic Management, knowledge of Flight Procedure Design, navigate flight according to performances, implement procedures, study and improve the organizational structure of airspace scientifically and reasonably, etc.
- Ability to directly participate in flight operations at air traffic service providers (Aerodrome Control, Approach Control, Area Control, Air Traffic Flow Management, Flight Information Managament).
- Ability to plan, organize Airspace Management, Air Traffic Flow Management, Flight Procedure Design.
- Ability to perform the management, surveillance and control of aircraft at all stages, technical exploitation in enterprises operating in the field of aviation.
- Ability to solve and handle situations, skills in operating and supervising aircraft activities in the airspace of responsibility and area of responsibility according to current regulations.
- Ability to analyze, apply research, apply science, technology, services, etc.. to become scientific researchers at research institutes, lecturers in universities, etc.. especially in the field of civil aviation.
- Ability to plan, make decisions, develop strategies to improve capacity in the Air Traffic Management industry.
- Ability to identify and learn about other professional knowledge related to Air Traffic Management.
- Ability to achieve a relevant professional certificate related to certain jobs in the aviation sector based on an integrated study program with approved training organizations (ATO).

- Knowledge of Vietnamese culture and other countries' cultures: Basic knowledge of Vietnamese culture and other countries' cultures.
- Knowledge of natural sciences, informatics, foreign languages: Have basic knowledge of natural sciences and can apply them to professional services in the course of work; have basic computer knowledge, proficient in using office software and specialized software; have a foreign language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.5.
- Have basic knowledge of technical issues, structure and operation of related aircraft such as: illustrations and technical drawings; computer graphics and CAD; basic aerodynamics; mechanics and aircraft features; aircraft engines; Electrical – Avionics ... can be competently applied for reasoning, analysis, synthesis,... in the process of solving and developing issues related to the industry and the specialty of training.
- Have broad knowledge and overview of the operation of flight operating equipment such as: air navigation; communication, navigation and surveillance systems; information and communication systems; global satellite navigation systems; Automation in Air traffic management. Ability to link industry knowledge with industry bases and specializations to solve professional problems.
- Demonstrate international shipping rules on Air transport or aviation economy.
- Demonstrate knowledge of specific aircraft systems, mechanical systems or avionics.
- Practice teamwork, communication and presentation skills.
