Vietnam Aviation Academy’s Vietnam National Union of Student

A socio-political organization of students at the Vietnam Aviation Academy, officially established on January 9, 2013, and operating under the Ho Chi Minh City Chapter of the Vietnam National Union of Students.

The Vietnam Aviation Academy Student Association serves as a trusted companion and protector of students’ rights and interests. It operates under the leadership and direction of the Party Committee and Board of Directors of the Academy, as well as the guidance of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Vietnam Aviation Academy.

The Student Association of the Vietnam Aviation Academy plays a vital role in uniting, encouraging, and supporting its members and students in their studies and personal development, helping them fulfill their academic responsibilities and contribute to building a stronger Academy.

The Association also actively listens to and addresses students’ needs and aspirations, while participating in policy discussions and proposing initiatives related to students’ rights and obligations. Alongside its annual programs and activities, the Association takes the lead in providing opportunities for students to enhance essential soft skills, fostering an environment that promotes learning, growth, and the development of key personal qualities throughout their academic journey.

The Student Association of the Vietnam Aviation Academy consists of four specialized committees: the Office Committee, External Relations Committee, Communication Committee, and Event Organization Committee.

It also includes nine affiliated Faculty-level Student Associations, representing the following faculties: Aviation Operation, Aeronautical Engineering, Construction, Business Administration, Foreign Languages, Aviation Economics, Tourism and Aviation Services, Electrical – Electronic Engineering, and Information Technology.

Additionally, there are seventeen affiliated Clubs, Teams, and Groups, including: Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Sports, Taekwondo, Karatedo, Vovinam, English, Aviation Science, Logistics, Aviation Management, Young Scientists, UAV, Music, Photography, Event Organization, and the Social Work Team.

The Student Association of the Vietnam Aviation Academy organizes a variety of meaningful and dynamic programs each year, including: “Student with 5 Good Criteria” title – Central level; The Cultural Festival – Welcoming New Students of each intake; The Spring Volunteer Campaign; “Green Summer” Campaign; The Revolutionary Songs Festival; And a series of practical skill-building workshops designed to equip students with essential competencies for study, work, and personal growth.

Certificate of Merit from the Ho Chi Minh City Student Association for “Outstanding performance in the Ho Chi Minh City Spring Volunteer Campaign” for many consecutive years.

Certificate of Merit from the Ho Chi Minh City Student Association for “Excellent achievements in the Ho Chi Minh City Green Summer Volunteer Campaign” for many consecutive years.

Numerous outstanding students of the Academy have been honored with prestigious awards and titles such as the “Five-Star Student” recognition at both city and national levels, and the “January Star” Award.

On October 5, 2025, the 7th Congress of Vietnam Aviation Academy’s Vietnam National Union of Student was successfully held, gathering 195 delegates — outstanding student leaders and exemplary members — representing the will and aspirations of more than 9,000 students currently studying and training at the Academy.

The Congress reviewed and summarized the achievements of the 6th term, while outlining the directions and objectives for the 7th term.

During the event, 21 exemplary and dedicated student leaders were elected to join the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Aviation Academy’s Vietnam National Union of Student, Term VII (2025–2028). These individuals will serve as representatives of the Academy’s students, leading and further strengthening the Association’s activities and student movements in the years ahead.
