VIETNAM AVIATION ACADEMY YOUTH SHINE DURING PEAK SUMMER 2026 AT TAN SON NHAT INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Summer brings a sharp surge in air travel demand, resulting in heavily crowded passenger terminals across airports. During these peak periods, alongside functional forces and aviation staff, the vibrant blue shirts of Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA) student volunteers have once again appeared at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, actively assisting travelers and spotlighting the positive, practical image of future aviation professionals.

Embodying the motto “Wherever youth are needed, youth are there; whatever is difficult, youth overcome,” VAA Youth Union members and students have taken the initiative to provide hands-on support across multiple terminal zones. Volunteers focus on guiding passengers through check-in procedures, regulating passenger flows, assisting with flight information queries, offering directional guidance between airport zones, and supporting congested bottlenecks.
Special attention is directed toward passengers requiring extra care, including the elderly, children, pregnant women, persons with disabilities, and travelers with bulky baggage. From giving step-by-step directions and managing baggage carts to answering check-in inquiries, these small yet vital actions help travelers navigate their journeys with ease while easing operational pressure on high-density areas.

Furthermore, student volunteers collect and organize baggage trolleys, coordinating closely with ground handling units to maintain smooth terminal flow. The prompt, proactive, and responsible presence of these students has bolstered passenger service quality during peak traffic periods, contributing to a welcoming, orderly, and professional atmosphere at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
For VAA students, airport volunteering goes far beyond an extracurricular movement. It offers a practical field environment to apply specialized academic training, sharpen interpersonal communication, master real-time problem-solving, and cultivate professional discipline tailored to the aviation sector.
Each shift serves as hands-on experience; every passenger assisted is a lesson in active listening, observation, and adaptability. In an industry demanding rigorous precision, discipline, and high service standards, these young volunteers gradually refine their professional demeanor, heighten their sense of responsibility, and gain a profound appreciation for every role in building a safe, civilized, and efficient aviation ecosystem.
The sight of volunteers in blue shirts patiently assisting passengers amidst bustling terminal halls has presented an admirable portrait of VAA students: dynamic, accountable, professional, and dedicated to public service.
Through these substantive efforts at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the Academy’s youth continue to affirm their vanguard role in initiatives bridging academic expertise with community needs. This initiative also offers students a platform to showcase their readiness to serve, proactively supporting the aviation industry during seasonal traffic surges.
