YOUTH OF THE MINISTRY OF CONSTRUCTION CELEBRATE THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DAY OF LIBERATING THE SOUTH FOR NATIONAL REUNIFICATION (APRIL 30TH, 1975 – APRIL 30TH, 2025)

Amidst the joyful atmosphere across the country celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Day of Liberating the South for national reunification (April 30th, 1975 – April 30th, 2025), as well as the 7th Party Congress of Vietnam Aviation Academy, leading up to the 1st Party Congress of the Ministry of Construction for the term 2025 – 2030, the Youth Union of the Ministry of Construction collaborated with the Youth Union of Vietnam Aviation Academy to organize meaningful activities on April 27th, 2025 to join in the celebration of this significant national holiday.

The Red Address Journey: “From Ben Nha Rong to Discover the Shape of the Nation” at the Ho Chi Minh Museum

The program consists of two main activities: The “Gratitude Activities” to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Day of Liberating the South for national reunification (April 30th, 1975 – April 30th, 2025) and the political discussion titled “Youth of the Ministry of Construction – Responsibility and Actions for a Strong Vietnam”.

The program is honored to have the participation of Comrade Vu Anh Tuan – Member of CPV Ministry Committee, Deputy Chairperson of the CPV Ministry of Construction Committee’s Publicity and Education Commission for Mass Mobilization; Comrade Nguyen Dieu Linh – Secretary of the HCYU of the Ministry of Construction; Comrade Vu Minh Thai – Specialized Deputy Secretary of the HCYU of the Ministry of Construction; Comrade Mai Chi Thanh – Member of Standing Committee of the Ministry HCYU, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Vietnam Maritime and Waterway Administration; Master, Senior Lecturer Pham Tan Xuan Tuoc – Deputy Secretary of the CPV Chapter of the Ho Chi Minh Thought, Academy of Politics Region II; Doctor Co Tan Anh Vu – Deputy Director of Vietnam Aviation Academy; Doctor Hoang Thi Kim Quy – Member of CPV Academy Committee, along with youth union members from various units and more than 350 youth union members and students from Vietnam Aviation Academy.

The “Gratitude Activities” to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Day of Liberating the South for national reunification (April 30th, 1975 – April 30th, 2025)

The program began with a journey to the source, visiting and offering incense at the Ho Chi Minh Museum, also known as Ben Nha Rong – a sacred site linked to the event when President Ho Chi Minh left to find the path for national salvation. In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the Ministry’s youth union members gathered to offer incense in remembrance, listening to a guide’s narration about the life, revolutionary career, and the great contributions of Ho Chi Minh to the national liberation and the nation-building process.

The visit was not only a journey to reconnect with our roots, but also an opportunity for each youth union member to reflect on their life ideals and gain a deeper understanding of the responsibility of the younger generation in the current and future process of national construction and defense.

After the activity at Ben Nha Rong, we moved to the Hall F100 – Campus 2, Vietnam Aviation Academy to continue presenting gifts of gratitude to youth union members who are children of families with meritorious services to the revolution. A total of 10 gifts were presented as a meaningful message from today’s youth to the previous generations who sacrificed and made significant contributions to the national liberation and nation-building. This is also an opportunity for the younger generation to express the moral principle of “When drinking water, remember its source,” to spread the humane values and beautiful traditions of the Vietnamese people.

The political discussion titled “Youth of the Ministry of Construction – Responsibility and Actions for a Strong Vietnam”

In the afternoon of the same day, the atmosphere in the hall became lively with a political discussion on the grand theme: “Youth of the Ministry of Construction – Responsibility and Actions for a Strong Vietnam.” This was a space for youth union members to listen, engage in dialogue, learn, and share ideas on issues of both intellectual importance and practical action during the new development phase of the country, the era of the nation’s rise.

The discussion began with a presentation by Master, Senior Lecturer Pham Tan Xuan Tuoc – Deputy Secretary of the CPV Chapter of the Ho Chi Minh Thought, Academy of Politics Region II about the regulations issued along with Decision No. 144-QD/TW dated May 9, 2024, by the Politburo specify the revolutionary ethical standards for officials and party members. These regulations highlight the increasingly high demands on political resilience, the responsibility to set an example, the spirit of serving the people, and the ability to contribute effectively.

Through the presenter’s speech, youth union members gained a better understanding of building political qualities, ethics, and lifestyle in the current public service environment. This helped them clearly identify their roles and responsibilities in work, study, and daily life.

Next, there were specialized presentations from representatives of the Vietnam Maritime Administration and Vietnam Aviation Academy. The topics of the presentations focused on issues such as enhancing public service ethics among young officials, the role of youth in the national digital transformation process, and sustainability in line with international integration.

In particular, the exchange and dialogue session between youth union members, guests, veteran union officials, and representatives from the Academy’s leadership created a memorable highlight for the discussion. The session focused on two main topics: “The Importance of Youth in Youth Union Work” and “Youth in Action – Responsibility for the Country’s Future”, the insightful and practical questions from the youth union members were answered frankly and sincerely. Not only did this provide guidance, but the real-life stories shared by those involved also served as a powerful source of inspiration, urging today’s youth to embrace action, contribute, and take initiative.

HCYU member Nguyen Tran Ha Son, representing the Youth Union of Vietnam Aviation Academy, presented the paper titled “Promoting the Tradition of Patriotism and the Spirit of ‘The People as the Foundation’ in the Journey of Nation-Building by the Youth and Students of the New Era”.

The series of activities on April 27th, 2025, serves as a clear demonstration of the spirit of action and the life ideals of the youth in the construction sector. Not only did it reflect on glorious traditions, but it also provided an opportunity to nurture revolutionary ideals, foster a sense of responsibility, and encourage the spirit of dedication in every youth union member.
