Two outstanding student teams will represent the Vietnam Aviation Academy at the 2nd International Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Design Competition, held in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
The competition is co-organized by VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, Ton Duc Thang University, and Tomas Bata University in Zlín. This prestigious international event aims to support students’ scientific research in electrical engineering, information technology, artificial intelligence, and other technical fields. It brings together talented students from various countries, fostering knowledge exchange and encouraging innovative thinking.
Approximately 25 teams from 10–15 universities are expected to participate. The competition offers a unique opportunity for students to transform theoretical knowledge into practical solutions—from design and model fabrication to programming, image analysis, and the application of AI algorithms. Participants not only gain hands-on experience and teamwork skills but also have the chance to connect with leading experts in the field.

The event also serves as a bridge between students and the international professional community, opening up opportunities for start-up development, research collaboration, and the formation of interdisciplinary expert groups—not limited to the field of unmanned aerial vehicle technology. By promoting cross-border cooperation, the competition contributes to strengthening international research networks and fostering scientific and technological innovation.
The two teams representing the Vietnam Aviation Academy consist of the most outstanding students, selected through an internal competition held in April 2025. These students have demonstrated exceptional abilities in UAV system design, programming, and operation. With creativity and a passion for technology, the two teams from the Vietnam Aviation Academy are expected to deliver exciting performances and help affirm the presence of Vietnamese students on the global UAV technology map.
