Vietnam Aviation Academy scores a double victory at the international UAV arena!
Two student teams from the Vietnam Aviation Academy impressively won Second and Fourth Prizes at the 2nd International UAV Design Competition, held from June 16 to 18, 2025, in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
This achievement not only affirms the professional competence and creative spirit of students from the Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA), but also demonstrates the Academy’s significant progress in training and researching aviation technologies.
In an international arena rich in academic depth and technical challenges, Team VAA Apollo earned an impressive Second Prize , while Team VAA Voyager secured Fourth Prize after intense rounds that included technical design, model presentation, and live flight demonstrations.
This success stands as a testament to VAA students’ technical excellence and innovative mindset, and reflects the Academy’s continued advancement in the field of aviation technology education and research.
UAV Program Now Open to Talented Students
In 2025, the Vietnam Aviation Academy officially introduces a new major: Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Engineering (a specialization within Aeronautical Engineering, offered by the Faculty of Aeronautical Engineering); UAV and Robotics, under the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (within the field of Automation and Control Engineering Technology).
With state-of-the-art laboratories, a team of highly experienced instructors, and extensive international collaboration, the Academy aims to train high-quality UAV engineers capable of meeting the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the digital economy.
