VAA’s YOUTH WITH THE JOURNEY TO TRUONG SA – CONGRATULATING LE TRONG HAI ON SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETING MISSION IN TASK FORCE NO.17

In the solemn atmosphere commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025) and the 70th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Navy (May 7, 1955 – May 7, 2025), the youth of Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA) had the honor of joining Task Force No. 17. This delegation visited and encouraged officers, soldiers, and residents living and working in the Truong Sa (Spratly Islands) archipelago and DK-1 platforms – the front lines of our homeland.

FROM LECTURE HALLS TO TRUONG SA – WHEN YOUTH UNION IDEALS SPREAD ACROSS THE VAST OCEAN

As an exemplary representative of the Academy’s youth, Comrade Le Trong Hai – Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Vietnam Aviation Academy was trusted and selected to participate in this highly meaningful expedition. The journey lasted from May 2 to May 8, 2025. This profoundly significant political activity demonstrates the faith, concern, and responsibility of the nation’s youth in general, and VAA’s youth in particular, toward the sacred sovereignty of our homeland’s seas and islands.

With exemplary conduct, a high sense of responsibility, and the enthusiasm of a Youth Union official, Mr. Le Trong Hai left a positive impression on the members of the task force and the officers and soldiers in the distant islands. He not only served as a bridge between the Academy and other units but also represented the pioneering spirit, courage, and responsibility of aviation students in the new era.

A JOURNEY OF IDEALISTIC EDUCATION – CONNECTING BELIEFS

The journey aboard ship HQ-561 was a series of profoundly meaningful activities, rich in spiritual value. Delegates participated in a ceremony offering incense to commemorate the fallen heroes of the “No-Number Ships” Task Force, honoring the brave individuals who silently sacrificed for the liberation and protection of the homeland. Continuing this tradition, the task force launched a vibrant emulation movement with the slogan “Unity – Affection – Achievement – Decisive Victory,” demonstrating the responsibility, solidarity, and determination to contribute of today’s youth.

At the various islands and DK1 platforms, the delegation visited, presented gifts, and extended heartfelt encouragement to the officers, soldiers, and residents who are steadfastly holding on to the sea and islands day and night. These small gifts, imbued with the deep affection of the mainland, helped to bolster the spiritual strength and faith of the soldiers on the front lines, amidst the waves and winds.

The presence of Mr. Le Trong Hai in Task Force No. 17 is not only a source of personal pride for him but also clear evidence of the role, prestige, and organizational quality of the Vietnam Aviation Academy Youth Union in educating and training an outstanding team of Youth Union officials.

With its vibrant, constantly evolving, and practically oriented environment, the Academy’s Youth Union has been and continues to be a cradle for nurturing revolutionary ideals and inspiring a spirit of dedication to the community and the homeland among the young generation of the aviation industry. It is through journeys like these that the image of the Academy’s Youth Union member emerges as dynamic, responsible, intelligent, and courageous, ready to contribute on all fronts of the new era.
