VAA fast-tracks accreditation efforts to align with training standards
On June 2, the Vietnam Aviation Academy, in collaboration with the Center for Education Accreditation under the Association of Vietnamese Universities and Colleges, conducted a preliminary assessment of its two undergraduate programs in English Language and Information Technology.
The two parties signed a Memorandum of Agreement on the content and schedule of the official assessment.
Attending the preliminary survey were the external evaluation expert team from the Center for Education Accreditation, the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Aviation Academy, heads of relevant departments, faculty deans, and the self-assessment teams of the two programs.
This preliminary survey is part of the education quality accreditation process in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, and serves as preparation for the official assessment, which is expected to take place in mid-June 2025.
Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hải Hằng – Director of the Academy and Chairwoman of the Self-Assessment Council, delivered a speech.
During the working session, the external evaluation expert team conducted a preliminary review of the quality assurance conditions, examined evidence documents, surveyed the actual facilities, and engaged in discussions with the Academy’s self-assessment teams.
Both parties signed a Memorandum of Agreement on the content and schedule of the official assessment, which includes the working timeline, survey itinerary, interviewees, and additional requirements regarding supporting documents.
Dr. Nguyễn Văn Ly – Deputy Director of the Center for Education Accreditation and Head of the External Evaluation Team, acknowledged the Academy’s serious, methodical preparation and constructive attitude in the self-assessment process.
Representatives of the evaluation team praised the Academy’s thorough and well-organized preparation, as well as its open and proactive approach. Professional feedback was provided to assist the Academy in perfecting its documentation ahead of the official assessment.
This is the first time that the Vietnam Aviation Academy’s English Language and Information Technology programs have entered the quality accreditation process. The event marks an important milestone in the Academy’s strategy to enhance training quality and integrate into the international education community.

Quality accreditation of academic programs is not only a mandatory requirement of the higher education system but also a strong commitment by the Vietnam Aviation Academy to learners and society regarding quality, transparency, and responsibility in training high-quality human resources.
