EXPANDING EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR CONSTRUCTION STUDENTS
With the mission of providing multi-disciplinary training and supplying high-quality human resources to society, the Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA) has always been committed to enhancing employment opportunities for its students. On the morning of July 25, 2024, VAA signed cooperation agreements with five major construction companies to increase job prospects for students.
Before the program began, a solemn ceremony was held in the hall to honor the memory of General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng.
Attending the signing ceremony from the Vietnam Aviation Academy were:
– Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trần Hoài An – Chairman of the Academy’s Council
– Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hải Hằng – Director of the Academy
– Dr. Cổ Tấn Anh Vũ – Vice Director of the Academy
– Dr. Trần Thiện Lưu – Head of the Construction Department
– Along with leadership representatives from the Academy’s departments, faculty, and students.
From the partner companies, the following representatives attended the signing ceremony:
– Mr. Diệp Bảo Tuấn – Deputy Director of the Mỹ Thuận Project Management Board (Ministry of Transport)
– Mr. Nguyễn Tuấn Dũng – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tedi South Transport Design Consultancy Joint Stock Company
– Mr. Nguyễn Trọng Bình – Chairman of the Board of Directors of B.R Design Consultancy Co., Ltd.
– Mrs. Nguyễn Quỳnh Liên – CEO of Hai Hoa High-Tech Co., Ltd.
– Mr. Nguyễn Kim Sơn – CEO of SIC Construction Investment and Trade Joint Stock Company
– Along with leadership representatives from these companies and enterprises.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trần Hoài An – Chairman of the Academy’s Council, stated that the collaboration between businesses, the Academy, and society has played a vital role in providing feedback to help the Academy develop and update its training program outcomes. Thanks to this thorough preparation, graduates of the Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA) are highly regarded by many companies for their strong skills and training.
During the discussion session prior to the signing ceremony, the leaders of the companies acknowledged the potential for cooperation and confirmed their mutual support in various areas, including training, internships, scholarships, academic exchanges, and, in particular, the recruitment of VAA students. Mr. Diệp Bảo Tuấn – Deputy Director of the Mỹ Thuận Project Management Board (Ministry of Transport) emphasized that the Project Management Board would be especially welcoming and would create favorable conditions for VAA students in terms of internships and recruitment opportunities at the management board.
According to the signed memorandum of understanding, the goal of the agreement is to strengthen collaboration through the following areas:
– VAA and the partner companies will work together to support each other in human resource development and training efforts.
– Cooperation in short-term and long-term training programs.
– Assistance in building infrastructure, laboratories, and facilities for practical training and internships.
– Recruitment of human resources.
– Collaboration in research and technology transfer.
– Participation in community activities and social initiatives.
– Mutual support in management and development tasks.
This partnership aims to foster closer ties and create valuable opportunities for both the Academy and the businesses involved.
Under the agreement, each year, VAA will introduce students who have excelled in their studies, scientific research, and extracurricular activities for consideration by the companies for internships or employment opportunities. The detailed contents of the cooperation agreements also mention the establishment of a scholarship fund for students who demonstrate excellent academic performance or come from disadvantaged backgrounds. These students will receive the benefits of internship programs according to current regulations and will have the opportunity to be recruited for employment at the companies, enterprises, or affiliated units.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hải Hằng – Director of Vietnam Aviation Academy, praised the collaborative relationship between VAA and both domestic and international companies in general, and specifically with the companies signing agreements today. The school’s leadership also expressed their hope that the cooperation agreements between VAA and the businesses would help promote collaboration in training, scientific research, as well as internships and employment opportunities for Construction students both before and after graduation.
