OPEN MARTIAL ARTS PERFORMANCE FESTIVAL & CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE VAA YOUTH SPORTS FESTIVAL 2025
In the vibrant, united, and enthusiastic spirit of the youth of the Vietnam Aviation Academy, celebrating the 94th Anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2025), the evening of April 13, 2025, witnessed the grand “Open Martial Arts Performance Festival” and the “Closing Ceremony of the 2025 VAA Youth Sports Festival” at Hall F100 – Campus 2, Vietnam Aviation Academy. The event marked the conclusion of a meaningful series of sports activities that not only promoted physical fitness and mental well-being but also strengthened the solidarity among all departments across the Academy.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Dr. Nguyen Thi Hai Hang – Director of Vietnam Aviation Academy and Dr. Co Tan Anh Vu – Deputy Director of Vietnam Aviation Academy, along with esteemed leaders of departments, faculties, and centers; representatives of the Youth Union and Student Union; and a large number of the Academy’s staff, lecturers, and students.
The 2025 Open Martial Arts Performance Festival brought together over 90 athletes from 6 teams, representing universities, academies, and colleges across Ho Chi Minh City. The performances showcased creativity, vibrant energy, and the spirit of martial arts deeply rooted in Vietnamese cultural identity, delivering thrilling and engaging moments to the audience. More than just a competitive arena, the festival served as a meaningful platform to promote strength, technique, teamwork, and above all, to spread the message of healthy living, positive values, and purposeful youth.

Immediately following the martial arts performance segment, the Closing Ceremony of the 2025 VAA Youth Sports Festival was solemnly held, summarizing the most remarkable highlights of this year’s festival. The 2025 Sports Festival officially kicked off on March 23, 2025, attracting the participation of nearly 800 student-athletes from 70 teams representing various units across the Academy. Participants competed in a wide range of events including Badminton, Chess & Chinese Chess, Team Handball Relay, Tug of War, Multi-sport Challenge, Volleyball, Martial Arts Performance, and 3×3 Basketball.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 2025 Sports Festival, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Hao – Secretary of the Youth Union of Vietnam Aviation Academy, emphasized: “The Sports Festival is not only a venue for showcasing physical strength and technical skills, but more importantly, it is a gathering place of unity, connection, and teamwork. It is where resilience, determination, and the spirit of conquest are forged – the core values that shape the strength of youth, of students in general, and of those at the Vietnam Aviation Academy in particular.”
At the conclusion of the festival, the Organizing Committee presented a total of 39 awards to outstanding individuals and teams, including: 11 First Prizes, 11 Second Prizes, 13 Third Prizes, and 4 Consolation Prizes.

The 2025 VAA Youth Sports Festival officially concluded, marking an exciting journey filled with outstanding achievements by our students!
The ceremony concluded with resounding applause, cheers of encouragement, and the joyful spirit of students across the Academy. The sweat, the devoted moments on the field, and the wholehearted efforts will forever remain unforgettable memories in the vibrant youth of VAA students.
The Martial Arts Performance Festival, in particular, and the 2025 VAA Youth Sports Festival, as a whole, ended on a high note — affirming the ever-growing strength of student sports movements. These activities have greatly contributed to building a dynamic, creative, and enthusiastic learning environment within the Vietnam Aviation Academy.
