Acceptance of the project “Proposing solutions to build and develop the image of smart tourist destinations to attract tourists in Long An province”

On December 18, 2023, at the Department of Science and Technology of Long An province, the Provincial Council for Acceptance of Science and Technology Tasks held a meeting to evaluate and inspect the project “Proposing solutions to build and develop the image of smart tourist destinations to attract tourists in Long An province”. MSc. Nguyen Minh Hai – Director of the Department of Science and Technology is the Chairman of the Council.

The Provincial Science and Technology Task Acceptance Council conducted a meeting and evaluated the acceptance of the topic “Proposing solutions to build and develop the image of smart tourism destinations to attract tourists in Long An province”

The project would be implemented from November 2021 to September 2023, leaded by Vietnam Aviation Academy, Prof. Dr. Ha Nam Khanh Giao as the leader of the project with the following objectives: Proposing solutions to build and develop the image of a smart tourist destination, contributing to improving the efficiency of existing services, diversifying tourism products to meet the diverse needs of tourists, supporting localities and tourism businesses to develop services according to the motto of modernity and professionalism to create an image of a smart tourist destination of Long An province to ensure competitiveness and attract tourists; Identifying the meaning, clarifying the content, and systematizing all typical relics in Long An province to contribute to the study of the history and culture of the province.

After 2 years of implementation, based on analysis and potential assessment, the research team has completed the following products: Summary report of research results, Summary report of research results, Report on assessment of the current status of the Long An province’s tourism system and proposed solutions for improvement, Summary report on historical and cultural relics in Long An, Report on 4 topics on historical and cultural relics in Long An in each period, 01 photo album (500 photos) on historical and cultural relics in Long An, 01 documentary film on historical and cultural relics in Long An, Model of elements of smart tourism destination image, Building 01 tourism product applying advanced technology such as AR/VR (virtual reality and augmented reality) for the province’s specific tourism product group, 02 smart tourism product models for 2 groups: main tourism products and specific tourism products, Training to improve skills tourism service development and tourism product promotion of the province, 02 scientific articles, solutions and recommendations…
