MOU Signing Ceremony between VAA & Lotte Legend Saigon Hotel and Cho Lon Tourist
On October 16, 2024, at Room A301 of the Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA), the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) took place between the Vietnam Aviation Academy and two major partners in the tourism and hospitality industry: the 5-star Lotte Legend Saigon Hotel (part of Hai Thanh – Lotte Co., Ltd.) and Cho Lon Tourist Joint Stock Company (Cho Lon Tourist). This event marks an important milestone, opening up learning, internship, and career development opportunities for VAA students.
Attending the MOU signing ceremony, representing the Vietnam Aviation Academy were: Prof. Dr. Ha Nam Khanh Giao – Deputy Director of the Academy, VAA’s signatory with the companies; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Tra – Head of the Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation; MSc. Nguyen Minh Tung – Head of the Admissions and Student Affairs Department; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Cong Hoan – Head of the Faculty of Tourism and Aviation Services. Representing the Academy, Prof. Dr. Ha Nam Khanh Giao signed the cooperation agreement with business partners, affirming the Academy’s commitment to fostering cooperation with leading organizations to provide practical opportunities and quality career guidance for students. Representing Cho Lon Tourist were Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thai – Director of the Travel Center, and Mr. Nguyen Dan Truong – Head of Training & Group Business. Also in attendance were department heads, Dr. Ao Thu Hoai – Head of Aviation Commercial Services Management, MSc. Huynh Diep Tram Anh – Head of Travel Management, and MSc. Doan Quang Dong – Head of Hotel and Restaurant Management, along with faculty and over 100 students from the Faculty of Tourism and Aviation Services.
Cooperation between VAA and Lotte Legend Saigon 5-Star Hotel
The cooperation agreement between VAA and Lotte Legend Saigon Hotel, one of Ho Chi Minh City’s leading 5-star hotels, offers VAA students the opportunity to participate in internships in a professional and internationally standardized work environment. Students will gain insights into the management and service processes for high-end clientele, enhancing their skills and competitiveness in the labor market. Under the partnership, VAA and Lotte Legend Saigon Hotel agreed to collaborate on internships, recruitment, skill development for students, as well as training, expert support, brand promotion, and contributions to scholarship funds and charitable activities. Particularly, internship policies offer attractive support: students will receive a stipend of 2 million VND/month, meal allowances for shifts, and access to Lotte’s standard training programs.
Cooperation between VAA and Cho Lon Tourist
The MOU with Cho Lon Tourist opens up practical opportunities for VAA students to gain experience at one of the most reputable tourism companies. Through this program, students can acquire essential knowledge and skills in travel management and tourism services, gain exposure to professional processes, and develop industry connections, enhancing their career prospects. According to the agreement, VAA and Cho Lon Tourist are committed to implementing internship programs, supporting recruitment and skill development for students. Additionally, both parties will cooperate on training, expert support, brand promotion, and contributions to scholarship funds and community charity activities.
