The Faculty of Tourism and Aviation Services successfully organized a scientific seminar on improving the quality of tourism human resources in the process of international integration
In order to affirm the importance of higher education, especially in the field of tourism in the process of international integration, Tourism and Aviation Services – Vietnam Aviation Academy held a seminar “Improving the quality of human resources in Tourism, Hotels and Restaurants and Aviation Commercial Services in the process of international integration” on the morning of the day 12/7/2024. The workshop under the chairmanship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Cong Hoan – Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Aviation Services.
The workshop was attended by Prof. Dr. Ha Nam Khanh Giao – Deputy Director of the Academy; the Dean of the Faculty; leaders of Departments and lecturers and students of the Faculty. On the guest side, there were Dr. Tran Thanh Tuan – Lecturer of the Faculty of Cultural Studies, University of Culture Ho Chi Minh City; MSc. Trinh Duc Thang – Deputy Head of IT Department of the Association of Science and Technology of the Aeronautical Academy; MSc. Ho Luu Phuc – Lecturer at the Faculty of Tourism, Van Hien University.
The workshop exchanged academic and practical issues associated with improving the quality of human resources in Tourism, restaurants and hotels, especially aviation commercial services in the process of international integration. From there, develop scientific research orientations for researchers, lecturers and students. At the same time, the workshop also aims to launch a scientific research movement among lecturers to contribute to improving the quality of training as well as serving accreditation at the Faculty of Tourism and Aviation Services. At the same time, the workshop also gave suggestions in education management to promote the role of the University in the process of international integration.
The workshop opened with the topic “Application of virtual reality and simulated classrooms for training aviation commercial service human resources” by the group of authors Dr. Ao Thu Hoai and MSc. Vu Thi Phuong Thao presented.
Next is the sharing of MSc. Huynh Diep Tram Anh with the topic “Self-learning capacity of students of Vietnam Aviation Academy today: current situation and solutions”. (Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan Vinh; MSc. Huynh Diep Tram Anh and students. Nhan Ngoc Hao Tien).
The program continued with the presentation of the author, MSc. Doan Quang Dong presented a presentation with the topic “The role of training Asean sustainable tourism standards for tourism students”.
In addition, lecturers of the Faculty of Tourism and Aviation Services also participated in presenting at the Workshop with research papers with high scientific content including: “Digital Transformation and Human Resource Training and Management in the Tourism and Aviation Services Industry” (Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan Phuong and Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong); “CFO personnel in airlines: competency requirements in the era of globalization and digital transformation” (Dr. Ao Thu Hoai and Dr. Huynh Duc Truong); “Factors affecting the fluctuation of tourism human resources in Ho Chi Minh City in the context of the industrial revolution 4.0” (author group MSc. Huynh Diep Tram Anh and Dr. Pham Thi Quynh Nhu); “Circular Economy and Traceability for the Menu of Air Catering in Vietnam” (Dr. Pham Thi Hoa and MSc. Trinh Duc Thang); “High-quality human resources for tour guides in Ho Chi Minh City today” (authored by MSc. Vu Nhat Tan and MSc. Vu Thi Thu Huong); “The impact of technology 4.0 on human resources in the service industry: orienting the future for Vietnam’s tourism industry” (author: MSc. Nguyen Anh Loi)
The reports were presented scientifically, clearly and received great appreciation from the participants. After listening to the presentations of the authors, the participants of the workshop discussed, exchanged and shared practical experiences that contributed to solving problems related to improving the quality of tourism human resources, as well as promoting scientific research activities of lecturers. students of tourism and aviation services.
The seminar took place successfully, this is the first step for research activities and improving the quality of training programs of the Faculty of Tourism and Aviation Services in the coming time.
