International Conference: Enhancing the Efficient Operation of the Long Thanh – Tan Son Nhat Airport System
Ho Chi Minh City, September 11, 2025 – The Vietnam Aviation Academy, the Institute of Smart City and Management (ISCM), and the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City jointly organized an international conference on the theme: “Long Thanh – Tan Son Nhat International Airport System: Shaping the National Aviation Gateway Towards a Regional Transit Hub in the New Era.”
The conference was attended by Mr. Uong Viet Dung – Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, Mr. Tran Hoai Phuong – Director of the Southern Airports Authority, leaders of the Department of Construction of Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai Province, as well as experts, policymakers, representatives of aviation enterprises, and research organizations from both domestic and international institutions.

The conference was honored to receive extensive insights from experts, enterprises, and regulatory authorities, focusing on solutions for coordinated operations between Long Thanh and Tan Son Nhat, optimizing transportation connectivity, and building a sustainable aviation ecosystem, with the ultimate goal of positioning Long Thanh as a regional air transit hub.
