The 6-day-5-night practical study tour in Thailand, held from November 28 to December 3, 2024, concluded successfully. This journey was not just a tourism experience but also a significant hands-on learning activity within the framework of the “Professional Internship 2” course for students of the Faculty of Tourism and Aviation Services (FTAS), Vietnam Aviation Academy. The delegation consisted of 97 students from cohort K16, guided and accompanied by a team of lecturers, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Cong Hoan (Head of the Faculty of Tourism and Aviation Services), PhD Candidate MSc. Doan Quang Dong (Head of the Department of Hotel and Restaurant Management), PhD Candidate MSc. Nguyen Thi Thien Trang (Lecturer, Faculty of Tourism and Aviation Services), and MSc. Truong Dai Loi (Lecturer, Faculty of Tourism and Aviation Services). With a well-structured itinerary, students had the opportunity to explore and learn at prominent destinations such as Bangkok, Pattaya, and Ayutthaya – locations known for their rich cultural heritage, diverse tourism ecosystems, and advanced destination management models.

Throughout the journey, students actively participated in and experienced the complete process of organizing a tour, from welcoming guests, guiding them at destinations, coordinating sightseeing activities, to event management and customer service. At key attractions such as the Golden Buddha Mountain (Khao Chee Chan), Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, and the Ancient City of Muang Boran, students not only observed but also practiced essential professional skills, including tour coordination, tourist guiding, and itinerary management. The lecturers provided direct support, helping students identify real-life situations and guiding them in problem-solving approaches. These practical experiences offered valuable opportunities for students to consolidate theoretical knowledge and apply it to the realities of the tourism industry.

The exchange session took place in a friendly and dynamic atmosphere, providing valuable lessons on cooperation and international interaction. Additionally, students had the chance to experience the practical process of 5-star buffet service at Baiyoke Sky – the tallest restaurant in Thailand. These experiences not only ignited their passion for the tourism and hospitality industry but also served as a strong motivational boost for their academic and professional development.
