Vietnam Aviation Academy compiled national standards on ground radio navigation aid systems

On the morning of October 27, 2023, the Council for Evaluation and Acceptance of the 2023 Vietnam National Standard, topic: “Ground radio navigation aid system”. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Khuong – Chairman of the Scientific and Training Council of the Faculty of Electricity – Electronics – Vietnam Aviation Academy is the Chairman of the Council.

The Council for Evaluation and Acceptance of Vietnamese National Standards in 2023, topic: “Terrestrial radio guidance support system”

The project was compiled by the Vietnam Aviation Academy based on TCCS 05: 2009/CHK “Basic standards for aviation ground radio navigation support systems”, leaded by Dr. Phan Thanh Minh – Head of the Faculty of Aviation Operation (Vietnam Aviation Academy). Reporting on the results of the research, on behalf of the research team, Dr. Phan Thanh Minh said: Technical standards for ground radio navigation support systems stipulate basic contents in the selection, installation, calibration, maintenance, repair and exploitation of ground radio navigation support systems with the aim of improving the integrity, accuracy, reliability and continuity of the system. Technical standards for ground radio navigation support systems aim to unify and perfect the management system as a basis for management units, technical units and exploitation units to implement.

To carry out the project, the research team collected relevant domestic and international documents; established and approved a detailed outline; compiled a draft standard; approved the draft standard in the drafting committee; revised the standard after the workshop; solicited comments from relevant experts on the draft standard; and continued to complete the draft standard after receiving and explaining the comments.

The university-level evaluation and acceptance council assessed that the draft standard had been implemented in accordance with current regulations. To further improve the quality of the standard, the Council noted that the research team should consider editing and consistently using specialized scientific terms, editing, reviewing for errors in printing, typing, etc. The university-level evaluation and acceptance council unanimously voted to accept the scientific topic conducted by the research team of the Vietnam Aviation Academy, with the result “Passed”.
