HAECO partners with Vietnam Aviation Academy to enhance aviation training initiatives
HAECO, a leading global provider of aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) solutions, is pleased to announce the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA). This partnership aims to foster collaboration in aviation training and education, setting the stage for youth development initiatives that will benefit both organisations.
Under the agreement, HAECO and VAA will work together to identify opportunities for cooperative aviation training programmes, including the development of certification courses and tailored educational offerings. The MOU also covers mutual support in marketing and recruitment efforts, as well as facilitating the exchange of information on course development. Placement opportunities for students will be provided through externships, internships, scholarships, and conditional graduate offers.
The MOU is expected to leverage the training capabilities and resources of both organizations, thereby enhancing talent development efforts and strengthening aircraft maintenance expertise on a global scale.
“Our new partnership with VAA extends our talent development initiatives to Vietnam, one of the fastest-growing aviation markets in the Asia-Pacific region. This collaboration will provide promising career opportunities for young individuals eager to enter the aviation and MRO industries. We are committed to nurturing the next generation of aviation professionals and contributing to the industry’s growth both regionally and globally,” said Summit Chan, Group Director of Corporate Development at HAECO.
VAA President Nguyen Thi Hai Hang said, “VAA has strong aspirations for a fruitful partnership that fosters mutual growth and development. This collaboration will serve as a robust foundation for training high-quality human resources in the aviation industry, aligning with both national and international standards. Additionally, the academy aims to leverage HAECO’s expertise to enhance the quality of its training programs through valuable insights and feedback from industry experts. This partnership marks a significant milestone, opening up a world of opportunities for students—not only in Vietnam but also in the global aviation sector, particularly in technical and engineering fields, where immense potential awaits.”
As a leading higher education institution in Vietnam, VAA is dedicated to cultivating talent in civil aviation and plays a crucial role in training and supplying skilled professionals to Vietnam’s aviation sector. The HAECO Group, with its established training facilities in Hong Kong and Xiamen, offers approved training and examination services for airlines, MROs and other aviation companies.
