From the classroom to HAECO – VAA students take off on their global career journey
On the morning of October 14, 2025, the Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA) was filled with excitement during the “Congratulations Ceremony – VAA Students Officially Joining HAECO”.
The event marked a significant milestone in the partnership between the Academy and the Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company (HAECO) – one of the world’s leading enterprises in aviation maintenance and engineering.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hải Hằng – Director of the Vietnam Aviation Academy, Mr. William Arblaster – General Manager of Strategy Planning & OEM Development at HAECO, and representatives from Manpower Vietnam, the Academy’s strategic recruitment partner.
The event became even more special as 14 outstanding VAA students were officially recognized as the first generation of young engineers to join HAECO straight from the university classroom – marking a proud milestone in the Academy’s journey of international cooperation and talent development.

In her address, Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hải Hằng, Director of the Vietnam Aviation Academy, emphasized: “This is not only a moment of pride for our students, but also a clear testament to the quality of training and the spirit of international integration at the Vietnam Aviation Academy.”
Representing HAECO, Mr. William Arblaster – General Manager of Strategy Planning & OEM Development, expressed his confidence in the capabilities of VAA students, affirming that today’s students will serve as the first ambassadors, paving the way for a long-term and sustainable partnership between HAECO and VAA.

Amid warm applause, the students – representing the new generation of aspiring aviation engineers – proudly stepped onto the stage to receive congratulatory gifts and best wishes from their lecturers and industry representatives.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Mr. Trần Quốc Nam shared his heartfelt thoughts: “Becoming a part of HAECO is a lifelong dream for us. We are truly grateful to the Vietnam Aviation Academy for giving us a strong foundation and the confidence to step out into the world.”

The students, representing the new generation of aviation engineers, captured memorable moments in group photos with their lecturers and industry representatives.
Not stopping at the morning ceremony, HAECO continued in the afternoon with a workshop and interviews for 10 additional promising students, expanding opportunities for young talents in their “next journey of taking off.”
The activity not only provided students with direct exposure to an international enterprise but also offered a valuable environment for learning, practicing professional skills, and gaining real-world interview experience.
