The Faculty of Information Technology is a unit dedicated to training, research, and technology transfer in the fields of Computer Science and Information Technology.
Our mission is to provide skilled IT professionals to serve the needs of society as a whole, with a particular focus on the aviation industry.

History of formation
The Faculty of Information Technology – Vietnam Aviation Academy was established on July 1, 2021 under Decision No. 379/QD-HVHK dated June 30, 2021. The faculty’s initial staff consisted of lecturers from the Faculty of Basic Engineering, the Faculty of Electricity – Electronics and experienced lecturers transferred from other schools.
Organizational structure
The current staff of the Faculty of Information Technology includes 5 PhDs, 2 PhD students, more than 18 Masters, along with many highly qualified guest lecturers with experience in developing many practical projects.
The Faculty of Information Technology currently has 4 departments: Software Technology, Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT), Data Science and Mathematics.
Software Engineering Department
Software Engineering Department manages and teaches courses to support students in building application systems on Web platforms, Mobile platforms, Windows platforms; building Game applications, management applications that can integrate AI; in addition, students can master and perform software testing processes.
Artificial Intelligence of Things Department (AIoT)
Artificial Intelligence of Things Department (AIoT) manages and teaches courses on artificial intelligence, computer vision, IoT, computer network systems, information safety and security, … to support students in building IoT systems, network systems, … with integrated AI.
Data Science Department
Data Science Department manages and teaches courses to support students in building data mining systems, big data analysis, Blockchain systems, …
Mathematics Department
Mathematics Department manages and teaches general mathematics courses for all majors/specializations of the entire Academy.
Training Mission of the Faculty of Information Technology
The Faculty is training 3 majors in Information Technology as follows:
♥ Software Technology: Building Web systems, Apps, Games, … (Front End and Back End)
♥ Data Science: Applying machine learning, big data, data mining, Blockchain, … to analyze data for other fields
♥Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT): Combining artificial intelligence in computer science and the Internet of Things to build applications suitable for Industry 4.0
