Introduction
The Faculty of Information Technology is a unit dedicated to training, research, and technology transfer in the fields of Computer Science and Information Technology.
Our mission is to provide skilled IT professionals to serve the needs of society as a whole, with a particular focus on the aviation industry.

History of formation
The Faculty of Information Technology – Vietnam Aviation Academy was established on July 1, 2021 under Decision No. 379/QD-HVHK dated June 30, 2021. The faculty’s initial staff consisted of lecturers from the Faculty of Basic Engineering, the Faculty of Electricity – Electronics and experienced lecturers transferred from other schools.
Organizational structure
The current staff of the Faculty of Information Technology includes 5 PhDs, 2 PhD students, more than 18 Masters, along with many highly qualified guest lecturers with experience in developing many practical projects.
The Faculty of Information Technology currently has 4 departments: Software Technology, Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT), Data Science and Mathematics.
TRAINING MISSION OF THE FACULTY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence
The Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence specialization, under the Information Technology undergraduate program at the Vietnam Aviation Academy, aims to train IT professionals for society and the aviation industry with in-depth expertise, strong practical skills, and professional ethics, fostering comprehensive development in learners:
- The program provides fundamental to advanced knowledge in software engineering, artificial intelligence, and modern interdisciplinary technologies. It helps learners develop practical skills, creative thinking, communication skills, teamwork abilities, scientific research capabilities, self-learning, and the ability to update new technologies.
- Additionally, the program emphasizes professional ethics, strong political awareness, social responsibility, foreign language proficiency, and particularly the ability to apply creativity to practical solutions, enabling learners to adapt to technological advancements and global integration.
Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things
The Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things specialization, under the Information Technology undergraduate program at the Vietnam Aviation Academy, aims to train IT professionals for society and the aviation industry with in-depth expertise, strong practical skills, and professional ethics, fostering comprehensive development in learners:
- The program provides comprehensive and advanced knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, data security, and modern interdisciplinary technologies. It enables learners to develop creative thinking, teamwork skills, scientific research capabilities, self-learning abilities, and the application of new technologies to solve real-world problems in various fields such as aviation security and management, smart transportation, healthcare, and smart cities.
- Additionally, the program emphasizes professional ethics, strong political awareness, social responsibility, foreign language proficiency, and particularly the ability to apply creativity, a lifelong learning mindset, and readiness to contribute to sustainable development and technological innovation both domestically and in global integration.
Artificial Intelligence and Big Data
The Artificial Intelligence and Big Data specialization, under the Information Technology undergraduate program at the Vietnam Aviation Academy, aims to train IT professionals for society and the aviation industry with in-depth expertise, strong practical skills, and professional ethics, fostering comprehensive development in learners:
- The program provides fundamental and advanced knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Blockchain, data analytics, and modern interdisciplinary technologies. It helps learners develop practical skills, creative thinking, communication abilities, teamwork capabilities, scientific research skills, self-learning, and the ability to stay updated with new technologies.
- Additionally, the program focuses on training students to have strong political awareness, social responsibility, foreign language proficiency, and international integration skills, enabling them to actively contribute to the development of fields such as aviation and related industries.
