On the morning of March 27, 2025, students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering – Vietnam Aviation Academy took part in a field trip to the SIC Hot Mix Asphalt Plant – Tan Cang, Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province, operated by SIC Investment – Construction – Trading Joint Stock Company.

1. Technical sharing and career orientation
At the plant’s office, students were introduced to the automated production process of hot mix asphalt, technical standards, and quality control requirements in real-world practice. The experts also provided valuable insights into major infrastructure projects implemented by SIC involving hot mix asphalt, helping students better understand the significance of this material in modern transportation infrastructure.
2. Visit to the laboratory and technical control area
Students had the opportunity to explore the lab equipment, quality control procedures for input and output materials, and the technical supervision process at the plant. This experience allowed them to link theoretical knowledge with real-life applications.
3. Hands-on experience in the production area
By observing the modern production line, students witnessed the material mixing process, equipment operation, and on-site quality control practices directly in the factory environment.
This field trip provided students with a valuable real-world experience, bridging the gap between academic learning and professional practice, while also inspiring enthusiasm and offering clearer career direction.
