Faculty of Civil Engineering: Study Tour 3 – Real-world connection, future orientation

March 22, 2025, the Faculty of Civil Engineering – Vietnam Aviation Academy successfully organized Study Tour 3 as part of the Internship Awareness Program for first-year students. The event aimed to provide a more practical perspective on their field of study and potential career opportunities.

Part 1 – Site visit at Campus 2 of Vietnam Aviation Academy

Students had the opportunity to visit several existing facilities at Campus 2, including:

• The main building

• The library building

• The dormitory building

• Two high-rise towers

Faculty members of the Faculty of Civil Engineering not only introduced the technical specifications and design features of the buildings but also explained maintenance and renovation efforts for structures such as the library and dormitory—issues closely aligned with real-world industry practices.

In addition, students were introduced to planned construction projects at Campus 2, helping them better visualize the different stages of a building’s development and lifecycle.

Part 2 – Career talk and exchange with industry experts

In Room G407, students attended an interactive sharing session with industry professionals from leading companies, including:

• Mr. Hà Công Lập – Human Resources Director, Phuoc Thanh Construction Joint Stock Company

• Mr. Trịnh Thanh Thuận – Deputy General Director, Phuoc Thanh Construction Joint Stock Company

• Mr. Đỗ Hải Nhân – Head of BIM Department, Phuoc Thanh Construction Joint Stock Company

• Mr. Nguyễn Lượng Sáng – Director, Phins Nguyễn Co., Ltd.

Topics covered in the session included:

• Career opportunities and recruitment requirements in the construction sector

• BIM technology and emerging trends in the industry

• Essential skills to meet real-world market demands
