Faculty of Civil Engineering: Study Tour 1 – Real-World Experience at Tan Son Nhat International Airport

• On February 24, 2025, the Faculty of Civil Engineering organized Study Tour 1 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport for the first two groups of 2024 cohort students. The remaining two groups will participate on March 2, 2025. This is the first visit in a series of six Study Tours under the course “Internship Awareness Program” designed for students.

• Direct guidance during Study Tour 1 was provided by Mr. Pham Tuan Hai, Safety Supervision Specialist, Safety and Quality Control Department, Tan Son Nhat International Airport. Thanks to his dedicated guidance, students had the opportunity to explore many important aspects of airport operations.

• Exploring terminal operations: Mr. Hai shared insights into operations at both the Domestic Terminal (T1) and the International Terminal (T2), emphasizing challenges caused by congestion and the urgent need to bring Terminal T3 into operation.

• Discovering airport infrastructure and aviation engineering: Students were introduced to key systems and technical infrastructure within the terminal, engaging in discussions with Mr. Hai on critical issues at the airport — all centered around the principle of prioritizing aviation safety.

• Career orientation and development opportunities: Beyond providing practical knowledge, Mr. Hai also offered inspiring guidance on career opportunities in the aviation sector. His insights helped students gain a clearer vision of their future paths and sparked motivation for academic and personal development.

• Study Tour 1 delivered valuable and practical experiences for the 2024 cohort students. We look forward to even more exciting experiences in the upcoming Study Tours!
