Eighteen students from the Vietnam Aviation Academy selected by HAECO are currently undergoing training in China
During the January 2026 training intake at HAECO Group in Xiamen, China, 18 of the 24 trainees are engineers who graduated from the Vietnam Aviation Academy, highlighting the Academy’s training quality, graduate standards, and strong capacity for international integration in aviation engineering.

The opening ceremony of the training program was attended by senior executives of HAECO Group, including Mr. Ben Scheidel, Group Director of Airframe Services; Mr. Tom Owen, Group Director of Corporate Development; and Mr. Gray Zhang, Group Director of Human Resources. Their presence underscored the seriousness, scale, and significance of the training cooperation program, while also demonstrating HAECO’s strong interest in the aviation engineering workforce trained by the Vietnam Aviation Academy.

The training program is structured along a pathway consisting of two years of professional training combined with two years of vocational training.
The program is designed with a pathway comprising two years of professional training followed by two years of vocational training, aiming to develop a cohort of certified engineers who are eligible to apply for certification in accordance with CAAV/HKCAD standards, including sign-off authority. Trainees follow a structured rotational training model that integrates theoretical instruction, training at internationally accredited training centers, and on-the-job training (OJT) in hangars under the guidance of experienced mentors.

Prior to this, HAECO Group conducted on-site engagement and recruitment activities at the Vietnam Aviation Academy, through which outstanding candidates meeting stringent requirements in professional competence, discipline, and international integration capability were selected to participate in the engineering training program at HAECO.
The participation of students from the Vietnam Aviation Academy in HAECO’s international training program serves as clear evidence of the Academy’s enterprise-linked training orientation and its alignment with international standards, thereby reaffirming its role in developing high-quality aviation human resources to meet the growing needs of Vietnam’s aviation industry and the region.

HAECO Group has announced that in 2026 it will continue to recruit engineering students from the Vietnam Aviation Academy.
Notably, based on the results of the first intake’s selection and training, HAECO Group stated that in 2026 it will continue to carry out recruitment of engineering students from the Vietnam Aviation Academy to participate in its aviation engineering training and workforce development programs. This is a positive signal, demonstrating the long-term confidence of an international enterprise in the Academy’s training quality and the professional competence of its students, while also opening up further career opportunities for aviation engineering students in the coming years.
