Cooperation in Pilot Training Combined with University Education
This morning, on March 7, 2025, the Vietnam Aviation Academy signed a cooperation agreement with Bay Viet Flight Training Joint Stock Company (a subsidiary of Vietnam Airlines) to implement the Cooperative Dual Degree Program in Flight Operations Management and Commercial Pilot Training.
The Vietnam Aviation Academy has signed a cooperation agreement with Bay Viet Flight Training Joint Stock Company to jointly implement the “Pilot Training Program Combined with University Education.”
At the signing ceremony, representatives from the Vietnam Aviation Academy included Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hải Hằng – Director of the Academy, Associate Professor Dr. Hà Nam Khánh Giao – Deputy Director, along with leaders from specialized faculties and functional departments. On behalf of Bay Viet Flight Training Joint Stock Company, Captain Đỗ Trí Dũng – General Director, Mr. Lê Hồng Quân – Deputy General Director, and representatives from affiliated units attended the event.
Previously, in 2022, Vietnam Airlines and the Vietnam Aviation Academy signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement to foster a sustainable relationship between the two parties, facilitating research, training, and human resource development. Building upon this agreement, Bay Viet Flight Training Joint Stock Company and the Vietnam Aviation Academy have now officially signed a cooperation deal to further implement the agreed-upon initiatives. This event marks a significant step forward in bringing the partnership commitments into practice, enhancing training quality, and creating new opportunities for students and businesses alike.
Leaders of Both Parties Conduct the Signing Ceremony
According to the agreement, the Vietnam Aviation Academy and Bay Viet Flight Training Joint Stock Company will collaborate to implement the Cooperative Dual Degree Program in Flight Operations Management and Commercial Pilot Training, aiming to provide high-quality human resources for the aviation industry.
This program enables students to obtain a Commercial Pilot License in accordance with the regulations of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam while meeting the recruitment requirements of Vietnam Airlines. At the same time, they will also complete a Bachelor’s degree in Flight Operations Management, recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Graduates of the program will receive a Bachelor’s degree in Flight Operations Management, specializing in Flight Operations Management, as well as an internationally recognized Multi-Crew Pilot License from a foreign partner. These certifications are fully acknowledged by both the Vietnamese and international aviation authorities. Additionally, students are guaranteed employment opportunities and the prospect of becoming pilots for Vietnam Airlines, the national flag carrier.

Looking ahead, as the aviation industry continues to grow—especially with the development of Long Thành International Airport—the demand for skilled professionals will increase significantly. The Vietnam Aviation Academy is committed to strengthening its collaboration with reputable domestic and international organizations to equip students with solid professional knowledge and practical skills. This initiative aims to meet the aviation sector’s rapid expansion and workforce needs in the coming years.
