Guidance Session on Selecting Majors: Logistics & Supply Chain and Logistics & Multimodal Transport
On March 9, 2025, the Faculty of Air Transport Economics at the Vietnam Aviation Academy successfully hosted a Guidance Session on Choosing a Major for first-year students of the 2024 intake. The event focused on two specialized majors: Logistics & Supply Chain Management and Logistics & Multimodal Transport. With the enthusiastic participation of the faculty leadership, lecturers, and all freshmen of the Transport Economics program, the event created an open and informative atmosphere aimed at helping students make well-informed decisions about their academic paths.
The session began with an opening speech from Dr. Nguyen Thu Hang, who emphasized the importance of selecting a suitable major in the context of the rapidly growing logistics industry. She highlighted that identifying the right academic focus would empower students to unlock their full potential, set clear career directions, and seize better job opportunities upon graduation. Dr. Hang also stressed that a suitable major equips students with in-depth knowledge and practical skills tailored to the needs of future employers.

Meanwhile, the Logistics & Multimodal Transport major emphasizes the strategic combination of multiple transportation modes to reduce costs and delivery times. This field is especially relevant in today’s era of globalization and the surge of e-commerce activities.
In addition to outlining key subjects and skill development pathways, the departments also discussed current trends such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence applications in logistics, green transportation initiatives, and sustainable development. These topics provided students with a broader industry perspective and helped them better prepare for future challenges.
