International Human Resource Training Cooperation with Aéroports de Paris Group (ADP)
The Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA) has always recognized international cooperation as a key strategy for enhancing the quality of training, research, and international integration. Over the years, the Academy has continuously expanded its partnerships with prestigious institutions worldwide, particularly in the field of airport planning and design.
Recently, from October 21st to 27th, 2024, the Academy organized a professional study tour to Paris, France for a delegation of lecturers. This trip, conducted under Decision No. 1262/QD-HVHK, aimed to learn from the experience of Aéroports de Paris Group (ADP), the operator of major French airports such as Charles de Gaulle, Orly, and Le Bourget.
Exploring Modern “Airport Cities”
At each airport, the delegation gained valuable practical experience and exposure to advanced technologies and efficient management models.
Le Bourget Airport: More than just an operational airport, Le Bourget is a historical landmark in global aviation. The delegation learned about the airport’s history and development, its master plan, and the modern technologies employed. Notably, the visit to the sustainable aviation fuel station and the fire station provided insights into ADP’s efforts in environmental protection and flight safety.
Orly Airport: With the “Orly 2035” project, Orly Airport is striving to become a sustainable and modern airport. The delegation toured the power plant, rainwater management system, and learned about energy-saving solutions and measures to minimize environmental impact. Orly’s development model provides a valuable lesson for the Academy in researching and applying green solutions to airport planning.
Charles de Gaulle Airport: As one of the world’s largest airports, Charles de Gaulle impressed the delegation with its state-of-the-art baggage handling system at Terminal 2E. They observed the automated process, ensuring speed and accuracy. Additionally, the new “Extime Boutique terminal” with its luxurious design, comfort, and the upgraded taxiway process were also notable highlights of the visit.
International Collaboration for Shared Goals
The trip not only provided a platform for lecturers to enhance their professional knowledge and stay abreast of new technologies but also served as an opportunity to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the Vietnam Aviation Academy and ADP Group. Both sides engaged in productive discussions and exchanges on shared concerns, exchanging valuable experiences in the fields of airport design, construction, and operations.
The Academy believes that the knowledge and experience gained from this study tour will contribute to enhancing the quality of training and scientific research, while also promoting the development of the Vietnamese aviation industry. In the future, the Academy will continue to strengthen international cooperation and expand relationships with partners worldwide to affirm its position and contribute to the overall development of the global aviation industry.
Key Outcomes:
