COMMEMORATIVE GATHERING IN HONOR OF THE 78TH ANNIVERSARY OF VIETNAM’S WAR INVALIDS AND MARTYRS DAY (27/7/1947 – 27/7/2025)
In harmony with the nationwide spirit of remembrance on War Invalids and Martyrs Day (27 July), on the morning of July 25, 2025, at Campus 1 of the Vietnam Aviation Academy, the Executive Committee of the Academy’s Trade Union, in coordination with relevant departments, organized a heartfelt gathering with staff, lecturers, and employees who are children of war invalids, martyrs, and those who have rendered meritorious service to the nation.
Attending the gathering were Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hải Hằng – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Vietnam Aviation Academy – along with representatives from the Trade Union Executive Committee, Youth Union, and various departments and faculties. Especially notable was the presence of 14 honored guests who are children of war invalids, wounded soldiers, martyrs, and revolutionary contributors currently working at the Academy.
In her address at the event, Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hải Hằng expressed deep gratitude for the immense sacrifices made by heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, and families who contributed to the revolutionary cause. She emphasized that the tradition of “Remembering the source when drinking water” is not only a noble cultural value but also serves as a guiding principle in all Trade Union activities to care for the physical and spiritual well-being of employees.
The gathering provided an opportunity to pay tribute, share stories, and listen to the thoughts and sentiments of those who carry the legacy of sacrifice and service. In an atmosphere of warmth and sincerity, touching memories and heartfelt reflections were shared, inspiring the current generation to continue the legacy of their forebears, uphold revolutionary traditions, and strive for excellence in teaching, research, and the continued development of the Academy.
On this occasion, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union also presented thoughtful gifts to the honored guests as an expression of sincere appreciation and respect.
The event took place in a warm and heartfelt atmosphere.
It concluded with deep emotional resonance, serving as a testament to the Academy’s care and gratitude for those who have contributed and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.
