2. Airport Automation Electrical Engineering Specialization

General Objectives
The Control and Automation Engineering Technology program equips students with in-depth knowledge and skills in automatic control, embedded systems, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced technologies in UAVs, robotics, and aviation automation.
Upon graduation, students can design, operate, and optimize automation systems, meeting the development demands of Industry 4.0.
- Understand AI, IoT, and intelligent control applications in UAVs, robotics, and aviation automation.
- Apply emerging technologies such as sensors, remote control, and computer vision in control systems.
- Airport Automation Electrical Specialization: Operate, maintain, and optimize automated electrical systems in airports and air traffic control.
- Control programming on embedded platforms, FPGA, and AIoT.
- Analyze, evaluate, and optimize automation systems.
- Sense of responsibility and professional ethics, ensuring system safety and sustainability.
- Teamwork, communication, and project management skills in control and automation.
- Culture: Comprehensive knowledge of Vietnamese and global cultures.
- Natural Sciences, IT, and Foreign Languages: -
- Applying natural sciences in professional fields, mastering office and specialized software (with a basic IT certification), and achieving B1 proficiency in the Vietnamese 6-level language framework.
- Embedded Systems and IoT: Microcontrollers, FPGA, and AIoT applications in automation.
- Sensors and Measurement: Operating principles and applications in monitoring and control.
- Industrial Communication: Communication protocols such as Modbus, CAN, Profibus, Ethernet/IP.
- Robotics and Mechatronic Systems: Principles of operation, robot design, and electric drives.

+ Designing and programming autonomous robots, motion control, and computer vision.

+ Automated electrical systems in airports and air traffic control.

- Vietnamese Speaking and Writing Skills: Ability to present clearly, concisely, and confidently in public; write accurately in both content and form.
- English Communication and Writing Skills: Ability to present briefly and understandably, confidently in public; write precise short documents and understand relevant work-related materials.
- Solving Natural and Social Science Problems: Ability to analyze and synthesize information to support professional tasks.
- Solving General and Specialized Professional Problems: Ability to quickly and accurately handle simple tasks and collaborate to solve complex issues.
- International Integration Skills: Ability to communicate and establish relationships with international partners and colleagues.

- No criminal investigation or disciplinary suspension at the time of graduation consideration.
- Completed all required courses with a minimum GPA of 2.00.
- Possess a national defense and security education certificate and proof of student week participation.
- Proficiency:
+ Foreign Language: B1 level (Vietnam’s 6-level framework) in English, Chinese, French, German, Russian, Korean, or Japanese.
+ IT Skills: No requirements.

- UAV & Robotics Engineer – Develop and program control systems for UAVs, autonomous robots, and industrial robots.
- Embedded Systems & IoT Engineer – Design and develop embedded hardware and software for automated control systems.
- Automation Control Engineer – Operate, maintain, and optimize automation systems in factories, airports, and industrial zones.
- Air Traffic Control & Surveillance Engineer – Operate air traffic control systems, radar surveillance, and flight coordination.
- R&D Specialist – Research and apply AI, IoT, and computer vision in automation control, UAVs, and robotics.

- Engineer of Control and Automation Engineering Technology (150 credits)
