ASPIRATIONS OF VIETNAM AVIATION ACADEMY YOUTH AT THE BORDER – MARKING 80 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE AND FREEDOM
In celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (19/8/1945 – 19/8/2025) and the 80th National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (02/9/1945 – 02/9/2025), amid the vibrant spirit of the “Green Summer” volunteer campaign, young cadets of the Vietnam Aviation Academy, together with the Standing Committee of the Front and Dak Ơ commune, launched the meaningful program “Youth Journey to the Fatherland’s Border”. This was not only a trip of experience and gratitude, but also a profound journey of remembrance, reaffirming the national pride and responsibility of today’s generation.

At Border Marker 62, young cadets of the Vietnam Aviation Academy stood proudly at the frontier, carrying forward the indomitable spirit of the Declaration of Independence on September 2.
The first destination of the journey was Border Marker 62 (2) – one of the key markers affirming national sovereignty. Surrounded by majestic mountains and forests, the image of Border Guard soldiers tirelessly guarding the frontier day and night stirred deep emotions among the young participants. Standing before the sacred marker, the youth raised their hands in unison, vowing to uphold the determination, faith, and responsibility of today’s generation in preserving and passing on the tradition of their heroic forebears.

The young cadets of the Vietnam Aviation Academy expressed deep gratitude, honoring the sacrifices of previous generations and pledging to safeguard each border marker, each stretch of the nation’s frontier with unwavering resolve.
Continuing their journey, the delegation offered incense and visited the historical relic “Final Point of the VK69 Fuel Pipeline” – a site closely tied to the nation’s resistance war against the U.S. This strategic project once served as the lifeline, transporting fuel to the battlefield and contributing significantly to the great victory of the Vietnamese people. Listening to stories of sacrifice, creativity, and perseverance of past generations, the youth were deeply moved and inspired with greater pride in the nation’s revolutionary tradition.

Cadets and youth members solemnly offered incense at this historic site, remembering the silent sacrifices of their forefathers who gave their lives to defend independence and freedom.
In front of the memorial, the young volunteers of the “Green Summer” campaign expressed their profound gratitude to the fallen heroes, vowing to live and study with dignity, carrying forward the legacy of their predecessors. The solemn atmosphere of the ceremony reminded every participant to strive to be more worthy of the great sacrifices made for the country.

The incense offerings were made with profound respect, reflecting the pride and gratitude of today’s youth for the generations who came before.
The program “Youth Journey to the Fatherland’s Border” was an opportunity for students of the Vietnam Aviation Academy to gain a deeper understanding of the priceless values of independence and freedom – achievements earned through immense sacrifice. It was also a journey that nurtured determination, patriotism, and the aspirations of young people to dedicate themselves to the cause of national construction and defense.

The youth of the Vietnam Aviation Academy proudly retraced the historical roots of the nation, honoring its glorious legacy while taking confident steps toward the Fatherland’s frontiers.
Amid the radiant legacy of history, today’s generation – the “Green Summer” volunteers of the Vietnam Aviation Academy – relived the sacred pride of the Youth Journey to the Border. This was a meaningful continuation of the spirit of the Declaration of Independence, expressed through concrete actions: studying, training, volunteering, and contributing to the community, each effort strengthening their bond with the homeland.

The return-to-the-roots journey of the “Green Summer” volunteers of the Vietnam Aviation Academy – from sacred border markers to memorial sites – was filled with solemn moments of remembrance. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2), these young people honored the legacy of their predecessors while leaving their own proud imprints on the nation’s history.
From the milestones along the Fatherland’s frontier to each incense-offering ceremony, the journey became unforgettable memories for every volunteer. Each step reaffirmed their determination to study, train, and dedicate themselves, carrying forward the heroic tradition of the Revolution, the Party, the State, and the People – a tradition forged and strengthened throughout the past 80 years since the August Revolution and the Declaration of Independence on September 2.
