On June 10, 2025, the Vietnam Aviation Academy held the institutional-level acceptance for the scientific research project titled: “Application of ANSYS APDL in Evaluating the Fire Resistance of Reinforced Concrete Frame Structures in Airport Terminals According to Eurocode Standards.”
Acceptance at the institutional level for the research project on evaluating the fire resistance capacity of airport terminal structures

Dr. Nguyễn Phi Long – Lecturer at the Faculty of Civil Engineering – presented the research project.
The project, led by Dr. Nguyễn Phi Long, is recognized for its solid scientific foundation and high practical relevance, aligning well with the urgent need for fire safety in aviation infrastructure projects.
The Council Highly Appreciates the Scientific and Practical Significance of the Project
Amid the rapid development of Vietnam’s airport system, the research, simulation, and evaluation of structural fire resistance using ANSYS APDL software not only enhance construction safety but also contribute to the refinement of technical standards, supporting the design and construction of modern airport terminals in line with international norms.
The council acknowledged and highly appreciated the scientific value and practical applicability of the project. It also provided several recommendations to help the research team further improve the content of the final report and enhance the quality and persuasiveness of the research outcomes.
