PROUD OF AVIATION IDENTITY: OPENING CEREMONY OF 2026 TRAINING PROGRAM FOR YOUTH UNION – STUDENT ASSOCIATION CADRES AND KEY LEADERS

On the afternoon of May 22, the 2026 Training Program for Youth Union – Student Association Cadres and Key Position Holders officially opened at the Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA) in an energetic, dedicated, and vibrant atmosphere. The program serves as a cornerstone initiative designed to enhance professional competence, operational skills, and political resilience among youth cadres across the Academy, cultivating a dynamic and creative young leadership force capable of meeting modern demands in an era of digital transformation.

Under the theme “Proud of Aviation Identity” this year’s program centers not only on youth work competencies, but also on fostering innovative thinking, digital adaptability, and a deeper awareness of the youth leader’s role amid rapid technological advancement.

Participants comprised Youth Union and Student Association leaders and key personnel from faculty-level youth committees, student chapters, and affiliated student clubs, teams, and groups across the Academy. On the very first day, delegates engaged with practical, topical seminar topics aligned closely with current youth affairs.

The program commenced with the topic “The Role of Youth Union – Student Association Cadres in the Digital Age” presented directly by Comrade Vu Minh Thai, Full-time Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Construction. Through insightful and practical discussions, the session clarified the vanguard responsibilities of youth cadres in national digital transformation, while offering strategic directions for modernizing youth movements, communications campaigns, and digital student outreach.

Following this, the session “Cyber Fraud Prevention Skills and Key Provisions of the Law on Cybersecurity” was delivered by Major Nguyen Thi Ninh Binh, Master of Laws and Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, People’s Security College I (Ministry of Public Security). In the context of a rapidly expanding digital environment, the presentation provided vital practical insights, helping delegates identify online fraud schemes and understand civic responsibilities in using social media securely, civilly, and lawfully.

A standout feature of the training was the introduction and operational guide for the youth project “Training Days Website” (Website Ngày rèn luyện), presented by Comrade Nguyen Hoang Phu Manh, Vice President of the VAA Student Association. This flagship digital initiative aims to streamline and digitize the tracking of student activities and extracurricular training scores. Integrating digital management into student affairs elevates administrative efficiency and transparency while building a modern, user-friendly platform for VAA students.

Through these core seminar sessions, the program equipped participants with actionable knowledge, enhanced skill sets, and forward-looking perspectives on student leadership in the digital era. Beyond peer exchange, the training offered young leaders an opportunity to hone their sense of responsibility, take the initiative, and adapt effectively to increasingly demanding standards in youth organization governance.

In their address, the Organizing Committee highlighted the vital role of youth leadership in building an active, creative, and distinct academic culture at VAA. The leadership expressed high expectations that post-training, cadres will continue to lead by example as core drivers of youth movements, strengthening the Academy’s youth organizations.

The first day concluded on a positive note marked by spirited discussions and high engagement between speakers and participants. According to the agenda, the second phase will take place in Da Lat City, featuring experiential field modules, team-building exercises, and hands-on skill development designed to foster camaraderie and champion the proud identity of aviation youth.
