On the morning of July 31, 2026, Campus 1, the Faculty of Business Administration, in collaboration with the Organization and Administration Department, organized a thematic seminar entitled:

“SUSTAINABLE HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT FOR TALENT ATTRACTION AND ENGAGEMENT IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF VIETNAM AVIATION ACADEMY”

The seminar was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Nhat Vuong, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration. It welcomed representatives from the Academy’s Board of Directors, leaders of academic and administrative units, the Trade Union, the Youth Union, researchers, lecturers, administrators, and contributing authors.

As higher education undergoes profound transformation driven by university autonomy, digitalization, international integration, and increasing competitive pressures, developing a highly qualified workforce has become a decisive factor in the sustainable growth of educational institutions. For Vietnam Aviation Academy, this is not merely an organizational or administrative responsibility but a strategic priority directly associated with educational quality, research capacity, academic reputation, and the Academy’s position in its new stage of development.

During the seminar, delegates reviewed the Academy’s human resource management practices during the 2021–2026 period, discussed practical issues concerning recruitment, workforce utilization, professional development, and employee retention, and explored strategic directions to enhance the Academy’s ability to attract, engage, and empower lecturers, researchers, experts, and administrators.

The presentations and discussions approached human resource management from a wide range of perspectives, including employer branding; policies for attracting and retaining highly qualified personnel; competency-based career development pathways; the application of artificial intelligence, data, and digital technologies in human resource management; the integration of ESG principles and green human resource management; mental health and work–life balance; organizational engagement and culture; internationally aligned workforce development; and personnel mechanisms tailored to the specific characteristics of the aviation sector.

One of the seminar’s significant academic outcomes was the publication of the proceedings, comprising 24 papers contributed by researchers, lecturers, and administrators from across the Academy. These studies were organized into four principal thematic areas:

  • Strategies for talent attraction and retention;
  • Sustainable human resource management;
  • Digital transformation and innovation in human resource management;
  • Development of specialized human resources for Vietnam Aviation Academy.

In addition to reviewing emerging trends in human resource management, the papers proposed various models, solutions, and recommendations with practical applicability. Many contributions emphasized the need to develop an integrated human resource ecosystem that closely connects workforce forecasting, recruitment, onboarding, training, performance evaluation, compensation, career development, and talent retention.

The discussions also highlighted that a long-term human resource strategy should extend beyond salary and benefits. Academic environment, professional development opportunities, organizational culture, employee recognition, well-being, and overall employee experience are equally important in attracting talented individuals and fostering their long-term commitment to the Academy.

The seminar provided a valuable forum for academic and practice-oriented exchange, strengthened collaboration among the Academy’s units, and generated important recommendations for improving human resource development policies during the 2026–2030 period. Its outcomes provide a useful foundation for building a highly qualified, engaged, digitally capable, and sustainable workforce that can contribute to the long-term development of Vietnam Aviation Academy.

The Faculty of Business Administration sincerely appreciates the support and guidance of the Academy’s Board of Directors, the Office of Organization and Administration, leaders of participating units, researchers, lecturers, administrators, contributing authors, and all delegates whose active participation and valuable contributions supported the seminar.
