The Inter-University English Challenge 2025 concluded on the afternoon of November 28 at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, bringing together 12 teams from 6 universities across the city. This is the first year the competition has been held on an inter-university scale, hosted by the Faculty of Legal English of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law.
The Turbulencers Stir Up a “Debate Storm,” Bringing Home the Second Prize for the Vietnam Aviation Academy

The Turbulencers made a strong impression and impressively secured the second prize overall.
In the final round, the two teams representing the Vietnam Aviation Academy – The Turbulencers and Triple Jet – competed against top teams from Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, University of Economics and Industry, University of Transport, Hoa Sen University, and Ho Chi Minh City Open University.
The competition featured four increasingly challenging rounds: Talent Show, Knowledge Arena, Speed-Up, and Debate. In the final debate, The Turbulencers faced off against ATE from Ho Chi Minh City University of Law on the topical issue: “Should the government ban children under 13 from using social media?”
With confidence, well-structured arguments, and flexible rebuttals, The Turbulencers left a strong mark and excelled in claiming the second prize. This achievement stands out as one of the Vietnam Aviation Academy students’ notable successes in this inter-university academic competition.
According to the organizers, the Inter-University English Challenge 2025 has become a new academic hub, providing students from participating universities with opportunities to exchange, learn, and enhance their English skills in a healthy competitive environment. The competition is expected to be held annually in the coming years.
