[VAA] SUMMARY OF THE 2024–2025 ACADEMIC YEAR AND IMPLEMENTATION OF TASKS FOR 2025–2026
6 October, 2025
On the afternoon of October 4, 2025, at Room A201, the Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA) held the Conference on Summarizing the 2024–2025 academic year and developing the directions and tasks for the 2025–2026 academic year. The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung – Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union, along with the Academy Council, the Board of Directors, representatives of departments, and a large number of staff and lecturers.
In opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Thi Hai Hang, Director of the Academy, affirmed that during the past academic year, the Academy had made great efforts to overcome difficulties and achieved remarkable results in training, scientific research, international cooperation, and community service — laying a solid foundation for a new stage of development. According to the report, the enrollment exceeded 100% of the target, especially in the majors of Information Technology, Aeronautical Engineering, and Electronics & Telecommunications, which far surpassed the planned quota. The training scale reached nearly 9,000 students, with more than 1,300 graduates. The Academy continued to maintain the three-semester-per-year model, applied digital technology in training management, and implemented blockchain-based electronic diplomas, affirming its pioneering position in the digital transformation of higher education.

The scientific research and innovation activities also achieved many successes: 10 conferences, 13 workshops, and dozens of lecturer–student research projects were organized. Students won numerous prestigious international awards such as the 2025 Mechanics Olympiad, the International UAV Competition in the Czech Republic, and Tech for Green 2025. International cooperation was further expanded with Vietjet, Vietnam Airlines, HAECO, Incheon Airport Corporation, and others, creating more opportunities for internships and employment. At the same time, volunteer movements such as “Mùa Hè Xanh” and “Xuân tình nguyện” continued to spread widely, bringing many meaningful social projects. VAA students also contributed tens of thousands of volunteer hours assisting passengers at Tan Son Nhat Airport.
On this occasion, the Academy also honored and rewarded Academic Advisors who made outstanding contributions to student management and development. This recognition reflects the Academy’s appreciation for their responsibility, dedication, and efforts in supporting, guiding, and motivating students toward comprehensive development in academics, training, and life skills.

Entering the 2025–2026 academic year, the Vietnam Aviation Academy aims to enhance program quality to meet international standards, expand partnerships with enterprises, strengthen scientific research and international publications, invest in modern facilities, and develop new campuses in Dong Nai and Bac Ninh. At the same time, the Academy will continue to improve the well-being of staff, lecturers, and students, affirming its prestige and position within Vietnam’s higher education system and the aviation industry.
