The Faculty of Air Transport Economics Organizes the 2025 Curriculum Review Workshop (Extended Session)
On May 30, 2025, at the Vietnam Aviation Academy, the Faculty of Air Transport Economics successfully organized the 2025 Curriculum Review Workshop (Extended Session), with the full participation of the faculty’s leadership, lecturers, and invited guests from enterprises in the fields of aviation, transportation, logistics, and supply chain management.
The workshop aimed to update, refine, and enhance the quality of the training programs in alignment with the orientation of strengthening the connection between academia and industry. This effort is intended to contribute to the development of a workforce equipped with practical skills, professional competencies, and an integrated mindset to meet the current demands of the labor market.
Delivering the opening speech, Dr. Co Tan Anh Vu – Vice President of the Vietnam Aviation Academy and Dean of the Faculty of Air Transport Economics – emphasized: “The review and improvement of training programs must be conducted in a scientific, serious, and regular manner to ensure output quality that aligns with the development of the aviation sector and the trend of global integration. Especially, the participation and input from enterprises play a crucial role in ensuring that the curriculum is not only theoretically sound but also practically relevant to recruitment and operational needs”

During the workshop, representatives from academic departments presented detailed overviews of the 2025 training programs for the two majors: Transport Economics and International Business. The presentations covered key aspects such as program objectives, expected learning outcomes, curriculum structure, newly updated course modules, and directions for integrating professional skills into student training.
The discussion and feedback session was vibrant and engaging, reflecting the openness and high sense of responsibility from both lecturers and industry representatives. The guest speakers shared insights into the evolving demands of the labor market and provided specific suggestions regarding course content, student assessment methods, and essential skills that students should be equipped with before graduation. The curriculum development committee noted all feedback and committed to incorporating selected contributions to further improve the training programs in a modern, practical, and sustainable direction. Receiving input from real-world business practices not only increases the curriculum’s flexibility but also motivates lecturers to innovate in their teaching methods and stay updated with industry knowledge.

The 2025 Curriculum Review Workshop is a strategically significant academic activity aimed at ensuring and enhancing the training quality of the Faculty of Air Transport Economics. Through this workshop, the faculty not only welcomed valuable internal perspectives from its academic staff but also opened its doors to objective views from industry stakeholders—those who directly employ the graduates.
