SPRING VOLUNTEER CAMPAIGN 2025 – VIETNAM AVIATION ACADEMY: A JOURNEY OF SPREADING HUMANITARIAN VALUES
The Spring Volunteer Campaign 2025 of the Vietnam Aviation Academy was implemented in accordance with Joint Plan No. 02-KHLT/ĐTN-HSV dated June 1, 2024, issued by the Youth Union and Student Association of the Academy. The campaign took place from December 22, 2024, to February 3, 2025, attracting the participation of more than 825 registered students, including 410 official volunteers.
The Executive Committee of the Youth Union and the Secretariat of the Student Association worked closely together to develop detailed plans, issue guiding documents, assign responsible officers for each operational front, and mobilize resources to ensure the effectiveness of all activities. Volunteer selection was carried out through a combination of automated chatbot registration and direct interviews. The campaign’s primary operations were concentrated in Ho Chi Minh City, particularly within the districts of Tan Binh and Phu Nhuan.

Communication and propaganda efforts were systematically and continuously executed via official platforms such as the fanpages “Youth Union – Student Association of VAA” and “Volunteer Youth – Vietnam Aviation Academy.” The content was diverse, including infographics, photos, videos, and in-depth articles. During the campaign period, over 36 posts were published, reaching more than 112,700 viewers and generating thousands of interactions and shares.

The 2025 campaign featured numerous meaningful activities aimed at promoting the spirit of volunteerism and ensuring social welfare. Volunteers visited historical sites, offered incense in tribute to national heroes, organized an online Tet cultural knowledge contest, and distributed Tet gifts to international students currently studying and living at the Academy. The campaign also prioritized care for workers and students in difficult circumstances by organizing bánh chưng wrapping events, Tet gift-giving, and support for sanitation workers, young laborers, and disadvantaged students.

In addition, volunteers participated in a blood donation drive, contributing over 456 units of blood, surpassing the initial target. Environmental protection activities were also emphasized, with actions such as tree planting, removal of illegal advertisements, trash collection, and efforts to maintain a clean and green landscape. The campaign also included exchange programs and support activities for demobilized soldiers, as well as care for underprivileged children, effectively promoting a spirit of compassion and community solidarity.

The campaign was carried out in close cooperation with local organizations and units, including the Tan Binh District Youth Union, Tan Son Nhat International Airport Youth Union, and Ward 08 Youth Union – Phu Nhuan District, among others, ensuring effective coordination and implementation of all activities.
Overall, the campaign achieved significant success thanks to the timely guidance of the Ho Chi Minh City Student Association, the Party Committee and Board of Directors of the Academy, as well as the proactive role of all Youth – Student levels. The mobilization of social resources was effectively conducted, ensuring efficient and impactful use of support.
It is hoped that the Spring Volunteer Campaign of Vietnam Aviation Academy will continue to uphold its strong foundation, fully leverage its existing strengths developed over many campaign seasons, and further improve quality through constructive feedback. This will enable the campaign to extend its meaningful journey of living for the community, marking the enduring humanitarian mission of Vietnam Aviation youth.
