Students of Vietnam Aviation Academy making smart boxes to guide passengers at the airport
A group of students from the Vietnam Aviation Academy created a device box that can be installed in different locations in the airport to help passengers find the plane’s gate, restroom, and look up information.

Since the beginning of 2024, a group of students Tran Quang Tin, Nguyen Y Bin, Vu Thai Binh Duong, Nguyen Van Phu Qui and Vo Hoang Nhat Truong, who are studying in the first and second years of the Faculty of Information Technology, have begun developing the product. The supporting device is in the form of a rectangular box, mounted in areas such as the entrance gate, the waiting area for boarding, the dining room… where passengers can easily recognize it.
The smart box is designed with an embedded system that operates like a miniature computer, with software that includes three functions: giving voice commands, opening a map for the robot to guide the way, looking up information to help passengers find flight schedules and information to serve their travel and travel needs. The operations are performed on the LCD screen mounted in front of the box.
