VIETNAM AVIATION ACADEMY – DEPARTMENT OF CONSTRUCTION HELD A MEETING WITH OKASAN LIVIC (JAPAN) TO DISCUSS TRAINING PROGRAMS AIMED AT MEETING THE WORKFORCE NEEDS OF JAPANESE COMPANIES
On the morning of March 1, 2023, the leadership and faculty members of the Department of Construction visited and held a working session with Okasan Livic Company (Japan).
The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Hirahara Naoyuki – General Director, Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Phương – Assistant General Director, and Mr. Nguyễn Quốc Anh – Head of the Business Department.
From the Department of Construction – Vietnam Aviation Academy, the meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thành Đạt – Head of the Department, Dr. Nguyễn Phi Long, and M.A. Ngô Văn Quân.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views and agreed on the contents of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for formal signing, reaffirming their long-term collaboration in offering specialized training courses.
Additionally, Okasan Livic committed to awarding two scholarships each year to students in the Department of Construction who face financial difficulties but have excellent academic performance. The company also expressed its readiness to accept students from the Department of Construction for company tours, internships, and to hire graduates with degrees in Construction Engineering Technology from the Vietnam Aviation Academy, provided they meet the company’s basic recruitment criteria.
In addition, based on the shared vision for the future between the leadership of the Department of Construction – Vietnam Aviation Academy and the CEO of Okasan Livic, it was agreed that Okasan Livic will serve as the main point of contact for providing information on the workforce needs of Japanese companies. The Department of Construction, in its mission to provide high-quality human resources with deep expertise in construction in general and aviation in particular, will align and integrate relevant content into its training programs to meet the labor needs of Japanese companies in Vietnam and globally.
