IMPLEMENTING COOPERATION INITIATIVES WITH TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF OSTRAVA (CZECH REPUBLIC)

On the afternoon of November 7, 2023, a delegation from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Bata Center at the Technical University of Ostrava, led by Prof. Dr. Robert Cep, Head of the Faculty, visited and worked at the Vietnam Aviation Academy.

The meeting was aimed at implementing several areas of cooperation between the two universities. The delegation was welcomed by Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hải Hằng – Director of the Academy; Dr. Nguyễn Thanh Dũng – Deputy Director of the Academy, along with representatives from various departments, faculties, and institutes.

Earlier, in 2022, the two universities signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) covering cooperation in areas such as joint training programs, academic exchange, research collaboration, organizing workshops, and the exchange of faculty and students.

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Ostrava also presented the Faculty’s Gold Medal to Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hải Hằng – Director of the Vietnam Aviation Academy

During the meeting, both sides discussed and emphasized the topics of joint training programs, student exchanges, and the development of a 2+2 training program for engineering disciplines. In addition, Vietnam Aviation Academy expressed interest in fostering research exchanges, academic cooperation, and scholarship programs for doctoral and graduate students between the two institutions.

On this occasion, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ostrava also awarded the Faculty’s Gold Medal to Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hải Hằng – Director of Vietnam Aviation Academy, in recognition of her contributions to strengthening and deepening the cooperative relationship between the two universities, particularly in the fields of aviation and logistics.
