General Objectives
The university education program in Control and Automation Engineering (TDH) for the aviation industry is designed to equip students with comprehensive and modern knowledge. The program ensures that upon graduation, students are fully capable of performing the duties of an engineer in the field of Control and Automation Engineering, while adapting to the continuous development of the industry.
After graduation, students will be able to work in companies and enterprises related to Control and Automation Engineering within the aviation sector, as well as in other technical economic industries.
Outstanding students may also pursue teaching careers at universities or engage in research work at research institutes.
Capable of self-learning and research to keep up with the development of the industry.
Proficient in information technology and English.
Knowledge of Vietnamese and Global Culture: Possess fundamental knowledge of Vietnamese culture as well as an understanding of the cultures of other countries.
Knowledge of Natural Sciences, Information Technology, and Foreign Languages: Have basic knowledge of natural sciences and the ability to apply this knowledge professionally; possess foundational IT skills, including proficiency in office software and specialized applications, and hold a basic IT application certificate or equivalent; demonstrate foreign language proficiency at level 3 (B1) according to the six-level Vietnamese language proficiency framework or an equivalent standard.
Have basic knowledge of automatic control theory, electrical safety, and electrical engineering, allowing for proficient application in reasoning, analysis, and synthesis while addressing and advancing issues related to the field and specialized areas of study.
Have a wide-ranging understanding of PLCs, power electronics, embedded systems, and automation systems, enabling the integration of specialized and foundational field knowledge to address and resolve technical challenges.
Vietnamese Speaking and Writing Skills: Ability to present clearly, concisely, and confidently in public; write accurately in both content and form.
English Communication and Writing Skills: Ability to present briefly and understandably, confidently in public; write precise short documents and understand relevant work-related materials.
Solving Natural and Social Science Problems: Ability to analyze and synthesize information to support professional tasks.
Solving General and Specialized Professional Problems: Ability to quickly and accurately handle simple tasks and collaborate to solve complex issues.
International Integration Skills: Ability to communicate and establish relationships with international partners and colleagues.
Social and Community Responsibility: Awareness and concrete actions to protect the environment; participation in community support programs through practical efforts.
Responsibility to Colleagues and the Organization: Shared responsibilities and challenges with colleagues, fostering solidarity, mutual support, and emphasizing the collective interest over personal benefit; maintaining a strong commitment to work.
Good Health: Maintain good health and cultivate the habit of regular physical exercise, actively participating in sports and fitness activities.
No Criminal Responsibility or Disciplinary Action: The student must not be under criminal investigation or disciplinary action (such as suspension) at the time of graduation review.
Completion of Required Coursework: The student must have completed all required courses as per the university program for their major, with no outstanding coursework; the cumulative GPA for the entire course must be at least 2.00.
National Defense and Security Education Certificate: The student must have a certificate in national defense and security education and certification of participation in the student orientation week as prescribed by the Vietnam Aviation Academy.
Language Proficiency:
Foreign languages (English, Chinese, French, German, Russian, Korean, Japanese): The student must have language proficiency at level 3 (B1) according to the 6-level foreign language proficiency framework of Vietnam or an equivalent standard.
Information Technology: No specific IT requirements.
Civic Responsibility and Community Service: Demonstrates a strong sense of civic responsibility and a desire to serve the community.
Professional Ethics and Attitude: Exhibits proper professional ethics, discipline, and industrial work habits; continuously strives to improve professional skills and the qualities expected of an engineer.
Work Roles: Can work as an operator, designer, or technical manager/coordinator in:
- Enterprises in the fields of electrical, electronics, and automation.
- Consulting and design companies in automation, such as electromechanics, mechatronics, and automation.
- Companies and enterprises involved in electrical, electronics, and automation technologies, both within and outside the aviation industry.
- Can work as a maintenance engineer, product inspection engineer, or production engineer in organizations within and outside the aviation industry.
