WELCOMED THE DELEGATION FROM THE HAECO GROUP (HONG KONG)

Recently, on November 13, 2023, Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hải Hằng, Director of Vietnam Aviation Academy, hosted and worked with Mr. William Arblaster, the CEO of Strategic Planning & OEM – Business Development at HAECO Group, an independent aircraft engineering and maintenance corporation headquartered in Hong Kong.

During the meeting, Mr. William Arblaster shared some of the group’s plans and intentions to explore and invest in Vietnam. Specifically, HAECO Group representatives expressed their interest in recruiting and training talent in the aviation sector to develop several key projects in Vietnam, including cargo terminals, aircraft maintenance hangars, and in-flight catering facilities in the near future.

Both sides discussed potential areas for collaboration and expanding job opportunities for graduates of the Vietnam Aviation Academy. An overview of the programs that could be implemented soon included: recruiting and training engineers at HAECO’s headquarters to work in Vietnam, recruiting and training engineers through internship programs, and various recruitment and training programs for mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineers.

Appreciating the collaboration proposals from HAECO Group, Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hải Hằng emphasized that these were feasible and aligned with the goals of the Vietnam Aviation Academy. She noted that such partnerships would provide valuable career development opportunities for students. At the same time, the Vietnam Aviation Academy proposed additional support measures for students, such as scholarships and internship programs at HAECO Group’s headquarters.
