Workshop “From CV to Career Path – How to Build an Outstanding Profile and Shape Your Future Career”
On April 20, 2026, the Department of International Business under the Faculty of Air Transport Economics successfully organized the workshop titled “From CV to Career Path – How to Build an Outstanding Profile and Shape Your Future Career.” The event attracted a large number of lecturers and students from the International Business program, delivering practical value in enhancing students’ professional skills in an increasingly competitive labor market.
Attending the event, representatives from the Academy included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Co Tan Anh Vu – Vice President of Vietnam Aviation Academy in charge of the Faculty of Air Transport Economics; M.Sc. Tran Thi Thu Hien – Head of the Department of International Business, along with lecturers and a large number of students. From the corporate sector, the workshop was honored to welcome Ms. Le Thi Thuy Tien – Senior HR Specialist from TopCV, who has extensive experience in recruitment and human resource development.
In the opening remarks, the leadership representative of the Faculty of Air Transport Economics emphasized the importance of early preparation of personal profiles and career orientation for students. In the context of globalization and dynamic labor mobility, a CV is not merely a document presenting personal information but also a tool that reflects an applicant’s mindset, competencies, and professionalism. Therefore, equipping students with systematic knowledge and skills in CV writing from their time at university is essential.

In the main session, Ms. Le Thi Thuy Tien delivered insightful and practical guidance on how to build an impressive CV that meets modern recruitment standards. Beyond visual presentation, the speaker highlighted the importance of “personalization” in each application, meaning that every CV should clearly reflect the applicant’s strengths, direction, and unique value, rather than relying on generic templates lacking distinction. In addition, students were guided on how to select relevant information, structure content effectively, use professional language, and tailor their CVs to specific job positions. Common mistakes in CV writing, such as lack of focus, excessive detail, or unstructured presentation, were also clearly analyzed, helping participants gain a comprehensive understanding of how to improve their personal profiles.
A key highlight of the workshop was the CV review session conducted directly at the venue. Through detailed analysis and tailored revisions of individual cases, the program not only helped the participating students improve their profiles but also provided valuable practical lessons for all attendees. This segment was considered highly interactive, contributing significantly to the dynamism and overall effectiveness of the workshop.

Through practical insights from the corporate perspective, participants were able to better comprehend labor market expectations, thereby proactively enhancing their skills and developing structured personal growth plans.
In conclusion, the workshop “From CV to Career Path – How to Build an Outstanding Profile and Shape Your Future Career” left a strong positive impression and reaffirmed the role of the Department of International Business in supporting students throughout their career development journey. In the future, the Faculty of Air Transport Economics will continue to organize more practical activities, contributing to equipping students with a solid foundation before entering the labor market.
